I got to my lodge,
It was a mess so I dropped my food down and decided to clean it up before eating.
Three hours later, I was done and it was already evening.
I went to take a shower, came back and sat on my bed and began to eat, the food was warm now.
I frowned as I ate, picked my phone and decided to log into my facebook account when it dawned on me that I hadn't called Vicky neither had she..
Immediately I raced to my speed dial and rang her number,It rang and she didn't pick.
I called again and it said busy.
I guessed she was trying to call back so I waited.
Three seconds my phone began to ring, it was her.
"hello" I said immediately I picked.
"hello D," she replied "sorry I couldn't pick at first,my phone was in the vehicle"
"And you were? " I asked.
"outside" she chuckled. "All is fine, we just stopped by to adjust the front tire"
"okay" I sighed in relief..
"Be safe okay? " I said "Just wanted to know how far"
"Awwww he misses me already " she chuckled.
I smiled.."well, "I was speechless...i couldn't lie, I was missing her.
"Have you guys reached ore? " I asked trying to dodge..
"Na... We are just leaving Enugu state sef" she moaned.
"what?! "I asked in shock.. "since morning!!! "
"The vehicle won't stop breaking down,but I think what was causing it is fixed now, we'd be fine.. " she said.
I sighed.. "hmmmm, hope you've eaten tho? " I asked yawning feeling slight headed.
"yeahhh, You? "
"Eating now"
"You sound sleepy" she observed," get some rest, I'd call you or you call me when you wake"..
"okays... Safe Journey dear.."
"Thanks pops"
"Always babes" I replied as she hung the call...
I threw my phone to the other side of the bed, I tried eating my food slowly fighting the sleep.
Just then I heard someone scream outside.
Immediately blood rushed to my heart,
Apart from the fact that the scream was horrifying and that the atmosphere was already dark and there was no light, the fact that the voice sounded like Vikky's made my body shake..
