What the hell!!! I screamed in my mind..
What would my glasses be doing in the hands of a blood drenched nurse in a ho..... I paused,
I gave Vikky my glasses as she left in the bus and she promised to bri..
I didn't wait to complete my thought, I rushed at the hospital attendants and forced my way into the hospital.
I heard a loud triumphant noise from behind me of people following the break in the human wall I created..
I rushed throw the corridor of the hospital, checking each ward, praying in my heart not to find what I was looking for..
I searched every ward, from regular to emergency and saw people badly wounded all being attended to.
I turned round lost, my heart beating, although the hospital was now crowded I could hear my own heart beating louder than any sound around.
Just then I saw the nurse that was holding the glass walking slowly to a waste bin in the hall,i watched her open the trash can and was about to drop the glass.
"Hey nurse! " I shouted and she froze and looked at me in surprises.
I rushed to her.
"You almost injured me when you pushed your way in" she said looking angrily at me
"I'm sorry, but can I know where you got this glass from? " I asked.
She looked at me surprised a little bit.
"from a young girl" she replied slowly..
"where is she? " I asked.
The nurse didn't respond instead pulled me by the hand and led me to another hall way
As I got there I saw lot of people crying, my heart moved to my throat.
I walked behind the nurse through the hallway that seemed horribly long,her hands cold like death, I saw lifeless bodies of people on the floor, their families crying to their deaf ears for them to come back..
Just then the nurse stopped.
Immediately I remembered in my ears Vikky's voice when she said "what if I never come back? What if something happens and I never see you again?"
Tears filled my eyes.
No, no, I shook my head trying to muster all the faith I could.
The nurse pushed open a door and pulled me in...
