.. I tip toed into the ward scared of what I was going to discover.
I saw corpses everywhere, on the bed, on the floor, some in the morgue,
I saw the end of humanity..
"There" the nurse pointed at one of the bodies..
I refused to answer, maybe she wasn't talking to me.
I looked away.
She gave me a push in the ribs with her elbow..
I turned to look at the nurse,she pointed at the same place again.
"there, from her".
I walked slowly to the body,
The hair,
The dress,
My legs shook.. I came to the bed the body lay.
"Vikky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " I screamed as I broke in tears.
My greatest fear just met me.
I pulled and shook her blood drenched body.
"please baby, "I begged "you're all my heart has" I begged but she just lay there,her eyes closed,her ears closed to my voice.
"God nooooooooo!  What is your problem!!!!!! "I yelled, anger and frustration and disgust and a lot of things I didn't know rushed into me..
"Why do you keep hurting us this way"i fell to my knees in tears.. "what did she do wrong?, Why didn't you punish her with something else? Why didn't you punish me with something else..." I asked God very sure I wasn't going to get any reply..
I cried the more.. I begged everything, I begged the devil, I begged Death, I begged God, I begged....
Just then I heard Edwards call my name,
I turned and saw him and Jasmine rush in and I saw them freeze in shock.
Edward couldn't believe his eyes..
I stretched my hand to them wishing they'd just pull from the sea of pain begininig to drown me.. Jasmine came to me slowly and examined the body before kneeling in front of me and looked into my eyes..
I saw her eyes cloud with tears too.
She gave me a hug..
I cried the more..
I cried the most... I cried so hard that my sight became blur, I didn't know what else to do.
I felt destroyed.
I heard my mind telling me "This isn't like in the movies Barny, this is reality."
