..I sat under the lecture but my mind was far away..
I watched from the back seat as Jasmine and Edward both tugged at eachother seating on the same seat.
My mind just seemed to pick them alone, it was as if they were the only ones in the class... Their giggles and touchings kept echoing into my mind like drops of water from the ceiling in an empty room.
"Barnabas!! "The Gts 003 lecturer called me back to consciousness."what was the last thing I said? "
I stood up as the class giggled.. My eyes ran through the writings on the board like soldier ants trying to grab an emergency chunk of idea..
"Since when did you start to seat at the back? "The lecturer said.. "Take your things and move to the front" he said pointing at the seat I always sat in in front of the class.. I deliberately didn't want to seat there because it was besides Edward and Jasmine but now I had no choice..
I reluctantly obeyed and took the seat..
The lecturer continued as I tried my best to avoid looking at Edward and Jasmine seated beside me..
The class was over, I didn't have any subject for the day so I decided to go back to my Lodge..
"Barnabas" a voice called me as I strolled the carpet grass leaving the classroom, I turned and it was the lecturer..
"Good day sir"I said
"What's up boy?"he asked "you seemed lost today, what's bothering you? "
I smiled, "nothing sir, "
"You know exams are approaching "he said tapping my shoulders "you seem to be in a dream world.."
He left and moved on "Wake up boy" he added as he left..
I sighed.. Watching him walk away and disappear behind one of the buildings. But I still kept staring at the direction, not knowing why..
Just then I heard a female's voice from behind "Daddddd!! "
I turned slowly..running towards me was a young girl with natural flowing hair and a school back bag behind her, she was wearing glasses and a lollipop in her mouth.. I spread my hands apart as she ran into my embrace...
"Vikkyy" I said smiling....
