"What bad feeling?" I asked
She swallowed obviously as if trying to muster courage...
"Vikky?" I called to her
"What if I don't come back?" She  began,talking fast as if she was scared of what she was about to say..."what if I never get to see you again... "
"I know my mum" she continued without allowing me to interrupt... "She would be so scared and broken,she might not allow me to come back" she added..
"She never was of the opinion of me schooling in Nigeria,always wanted to send me outside.." She added beginning to slow down,"What if she does and ......"
I bent down and picked a stone,she stopped to look at me,noticing that I  had gotten her attention,I threw the stone at one of the buses in the park..
"OmG!! Barney?" She asked surprised
"Who be that wey wan buy markit?" One of the bus park attendant yelled in his Igbo tongue..
Vikky turned to face me..."okay,you've done a lot of weird things but that one"she said pointing to the bus I stoned.."that one is unbelievable... "
I kept looking at the bus avoiding her eyes...
"Wanna tell me why you did that?" She asked.
"When things I don't like come into my thoughts" I began... " I do something else to take my mind off them"..
She looked at away not knowing what to say.
"Do you want to come back here?" I asked..
"Yeah.."she responded still looking away..
"Do you want to see me again.?" I asked..
She turned slowly to face me and nodded..
"Then stop thinking of things you'd not like to happen" I advised but deep in my heart I was beginning to have that bad feeling too..
She pulled in slowly into a soft hug.
We were both scared,but I didn't want her to know I was...maybe seeing her strong would make me strong I thought.
Just then the driver of the bus waved at me?
"You and ya babe dey follow this motor so?" He asked
We chucked as I walked Vikky back to the bus and watch her take her seat behind the driver's..
I waved her bye and she waved back and then wiped her eyes...
Damn..my heart broke
