"Hey, Violet, you there?" The voice that came through the door was recognised as Benedict's voice. "Look, Gilbert's looking for you, it's lunch time."
Violet was forced to stay quiet, there was a blade under her neck, she can't fight back as well, her arms and legs were tied together from the back and so her back is sore, it was starting be become painful as time goes on.
Then, after that, Benedict no longer responded and walked away. The man sighed and stood up proudly, "Well, that went well, good thing you didn't talk because that would've caused trouble for me. Not that you could talk with that cloth in you mouth." He said, walking around the room.
The cloth the man put in Violet's mouth was making Violet choke. The extremely fast pace of what had happened caught her off guard, making her breath more intensely than usual.
"Now, how do I kill you?"
His voice was dark and his eyes were glimmering with delight. Violet gulped at that. She saw many men who took a delight in killing, especially in the war, but this was different, he looked like all he knew was to kill and that this is his hobby. It looked like it was a natural thing for him. That just made his overwhelming aura put to intimidating use.
"Oh, I know, how about..we kill you like how you killed my brother." His eyes showed a hint of sorrow, but his blood lust over powered it.
"When I came home, I came home to my broken family and my dead brother. My brother was killed. I understood that it was a war but, whoever killed my brother so brutally, was a monster and should be punished. His arm was near to amputated, both of his legs were broken, and his..." The man took a deep breath. "There was a piece of concrete on top of his head. If there wasn't a dog tag, we wouldn't have recognised him."
Violet held her head down in shame, the war between Gardarik and Leiden was traumatic for her, especially the night of the battle of Intense. The days of the war kept repeating in her mind everytime she had a rough day. This day most likely will give her nightmares throughout the night.
Then suddenly, the door lock broke and the door unlocked. The man quickly stood up and tried to hostage Violet but couldn't when he was forcefully tackled and put down. The person who tackled him was Hodgins.
Hodgins yelled, "Gilbert! Over here!" Then he went back focusing on tying the man's arms tightly around the man's body, to not let him a chance to escape.
Seconds later, Gilbert appeared in the room and quickly assessed the situation. He quickly kneeled infront of Violet and first removed the cloth in her mouth, then the rope around her arms and legs.
Just after Gilbert released her, Violet hugged Gilbert's neck. She nuzzled her face into his neck and sobbed. Gilbert's eyes softened, he put hand on top of Violet head and carried her bridal style.
Gilbert looked at Hodgins firmly, Claudia knew what that mean't. Hodgins replied, "I got it, I'll report what happened."
Gilbert nodded then walked out the room, he held Violet close and walked from the room to the exit. He was met by Benedict, Iris, Jewel, and Cattleya, along the way with lookes of concern towards Violet.
Then he finally reached their home, he sat Violet in their bed and looked at her. He brushed her hair out of her face and then checked for injuries. He held Violet's hands then looked at her and said, "Hey."
"Look at me." He said calmly with a a soft voice.
Violet slowly looked up at Gilbert, her face was still covered with dripping tears, though she wasn't crying anymore. She tried to quickly wipe her tears but didn't work as Gilbert slowly wiped her tears.
After Gilbert wiped her tears, he asked, "Did he hurt you? Do you feel pain anywhere?" His face etched with worry.
Violet was about to say no but her mouth and throat was hoarse making her cough. Her cough were dry making it painful and scratchy.
"Okay wait, I'll get you some water."
