(A/N: Before reading the story, please read book one of this, Evergarden No More in my profile.)

It was a day-off for both Violet and Gilbert, a well needed day-off. They both have been working more hours than the rest of their team and only see each other in the morning for breakfast, and night for dinner.

Violet and Gilbert didn't see much problem with working a few extra hours in a day, but their co-workers saw and thought a day-off is the least they can do. In all honesty they thought Violet and Gilbert were having a fight. But there is nothing wrong, their relationship with each other is still strong.

In their well set-in house of over a year, the Bougainvillea couple are seen sitting in the living room. Their new house was spacious but not as big as the Bougainvillea Residence.

Violet and Gilbert sat together, leaning towards each other, enjoying the peaceful silence.

Violet felt a bit sleepy and leaned her head on Gilbert's chest. Gilbert smiled inwardly and leaned his head on Violet's.

"Violet." Gilbert said softly.

"Mm." Violet replied, feeling drowsy.

"I asked of something to your client Oscar." Gilbert started. "I asked him a favor."

Violet responded and tried to listen but she was tired. She yawned and nodded, some tears on the side of her eyes.

Gilbert continued, "I asked him after his play is done, if I can use the stage," Gilbert looked at Violet's face, wiping her tears. "I asked him that so in that time, I was going to propose to you." He said, remembering the moment he thought of that.

"Mm, yeah? Why didn't you wait 'til then?" Violet asked, suddenly amused by the story, looking at Gilbert.

"Mm, well," Gilbert looked at Violet. "one of your friends, I think Tracker was his name, sent me a letter about rumours and posters in Gardarik regarding you." He said, looking at their hands intertwined. "In that moment I was scared."

He felt the back of his eyes feeling watery, so he stopped and wiped his wet eyes. "Sorry." He said softly. He flinched a little when he felt Violet's cold hands on his cheeks, but he didn't mind.

"Don't. I'm here...I'm me, so don't say sorry for crying." Violet said gently, looking at his eyes she loved for years, from the man she loves.

Gilbert saw Violet's smile and can't help but smiled back, the former cold hands he felt on his cheeks soon felt warm. Gilbert took Violet's hands into his hands and kissed her softly on the lips. This suprised Violet and in the spur of the moment she pushed him away and looked away.

Gilbert frowned at this and asked, "Are you okay?"

Violet was okay, she was suprised by that...attack so she pushed him away and his her heated, flushed face, so all in all she felt embarrassed, but okay; more than okay.

Violet didn't answer so Gilbert thought he did something wrong. "...I'm sorry if I surprised you, it was that-"

He was 'attacked' by the same kiss, he was so surprised that he fell back on the couch making Violet fall with him.

Now with their faces so close to each other, it took a few seconds until Violet layed beside Gilbert giggling.

"Your face..it's so red." Violet laughed and took in breaths in between.

Gilbert felt embarrassed, covering his face with his hands. After hearing Violet's laugh, he smiled and wrapped his arm around her waist, and just watched her wear down her laughter.
