Of course, they couldn't just leave Leidenshaflich without informing their work.

For the past weeks, Violet, even if she was sent on a 'emergency notice', she still wanted to work. She thought it wouldn't be fair, considering the fact that she was still getting paid despite not doing anything.

The work Hodgins gave Violet was through mail, they were addresses and requests - of which they'll edit it to how they like it and write it back.

So, that same day, both Violet and Gilbert went to their respective workplaces to get at least a week off.

Gilbert knew he had to return to work tomorrow, he just hope they'll let him go this once.

He opened the door and immediately, eyes were on him.

"How was Gardarik Empire, 'Master Sergeant?'" Bates asked.

Gilbert replied, "It was what you would expect of any other nation, the people were quite friendly."

"Heard you caught some big fish, sir. Congratulations sergeant, excuse me...Master Sergeant Bougainvillea." Lucas Mellor said.

Gilbert smiled, "Thank you Mellor, though it was nothing much, it was an honor to work alongside Gardarik Uniform."

"But it wasn't 'nothing', Bougainvillea."

Gilbert turned to see Lt. Colonel Keelan there.

"I heard from Captain Admiraal that you took care of that situation very well and reacted accordingly. And amongst that, whilst injured, you did the paperwork efficiently and helped with the numbers of them."

Keelan smiled at Gilbert.

"You did very well Bougainvillea."

Gilbert smiled, "Thank you, sir."

Keelan nodded, "Oh, but I thought you'd be coming back to work tomorrow."

"Yes, about that," Gilbert walked towards Keelan, "that's what I came here for. Can we talk privately, sir?"

"Of course, let's go to my office." Keelan said, leading Gilbert to his office.

Once the door shut and Keelan sat down...

"So? What did you want to talk about?" Keelan said, leaning back on his chair.

"Sir, I'll be blunt. I'd like a continuation of my off days. If I am allowed to make such request, I would appreciate if I were given this."

Keelan looked intrigued, but more curious than that.

"May I ask what those days are for?"

"Sir, if you've read my report I had given you a few days ago, I have written down that I almost lost my life due to the wound on my right arm was infected. This caused them to sever my right arm."

Keelan looked like he knew that already but is still surprised to hear it.

"Alright then, do you need the off day for resting?"

"No sir, to be honest I've done enough resting in Gardarik. What I'm asking the off day for is that I want to order and buy a prosthetic arm. The one I'm using right now is a temporary one and one I can't use for work. That is the reason for my request." Gilbert said with his head down.

And then, Keelan said.

"Alright. I'll give it to you, you deserve it anyway, but this isn't a regular thing, right?"

Gilbert held his head up, "Of course, thank you sir." He said, nodding.

Meanwhile....

"Oh, Violet, I heard that Gilbert came home a few days ago safely, that's good." Hodgins started.

Violet nodded, "It is.....President, I'd like to take some days off if that's fine?"

"Hmm? That's fine. How many days? As long as it's not as long as a month, you can take it. We have been receiving a lot of request lately." Hodgins said, writing something down.

Violet felt a bit weird that the president was a bit passive, as well as worried that she'll leave them with more work.

Hodgins noticed her hesitation, and looked up from his desk and saw Violet's expression.

"Seriously. It's fine Violet, just fill this form out and give it to me tomorrow morning and then you can go. It must be for a good reason, right?" He said, handing her the form.

Violet smiled lightly, feeling a bit better from Hodgins' reassurance, "Right."

Hodgins smiled as well, then looked back at his paperwork.

"Just come back safely. It's only going to be a couple more months before your leave so you'll be doing most of the addresses until then."

"That's fine, President Hodgins. Thank you. Good luck on the paperwork, I'll see you tomorrow." Violet said, before respectfully leaving the office.

Well, it seems they're ready to go to Machtig.
