"Ahhh, well.....I'm still not used to this."

They heard Gilbert mumble under his breath.

Violet and Emma rushed towards the stairs, seeing Gilbert laying on his back, wincing about his head.

"Ahh-are you alright?"

Violet was the first to lend Gilbert a hand to stand up, then with Emma, assisting. They both helped him sit on the couch.

Gilbert sighed, and that was when Violet spoke up.

"What made you slip? Did your wounds open up? Let me see!" Violet said, without thinking much, lifted his shirt up.

"It's fine, it didn't open." Gilbert answered quickly.

"Well, how about your head? You winced earlier didn't you?" Violet asked, now sitting beside Gilbert.

"I'm fine. It's just a bump." Gilbert said, trying to put her mind off to another direction.

Violet looked at him, she hopes that he really is fine. She just sighed. "Okay then, if you say so. Now, even if you do say so, I'll bring your breakfast to the coffee table so you don't have to stand up." She said, not waiting for Gilbert's reply.

As she took a tray and laid the plate of eggs and toast there, Emma called from the foyer.

"M-...Violet, you have a letter." Emma said, walking towards her.

"Mm? Can you read who is it from?" Violet asked of her, handing a fork and bread knife to Gilbert.

"Mm...umm...Sir Pat-trick...E-Evergarden. It's from a Sir Patrick Evergarden." Emma struggling a bit because she hasn't read anything for a while.

Just as Emma said that. There was a clattering sound.

It seemed that Gilbert had dropped the fork and bread knife that Violet handed over to him.

"What's wrong?" Violet asked Gilbert.

"Ahh...." Gilbert sighed, then he said. "I think it's better if I talk to you about it privately...in our bedroom."

Violet slowly nodded. Picking up the fork and knife, and setting it on the coffee table. Before she said anything else, she glanced over at Emma.

Emma gave her a reassuring glance. "It's fine, I'm sure whatever it is, that it is important. I'll just stay here. Here, the letter from Sir." She said, giving Violet the letter.

Violet nodded again. "Thank you."

Then she looked at Gilbert. "Let's go then."

Gilbert nodded, standing up a bit wobbly.

As they entered their room, Violet laid the letter on the desk and sat beside Gilbert on the bed.

"What is it that you wanted to say?"

"Well, there's no reason to hide it......"

"...I met....Edward Jones."

(Flashback)
He noticed an alley, with door to the narrow other side. He thought to himself.

'Let's satisfy my curiosity just this once then.'

Then he opened the door.

What he saw was a crowd of people surrounding a person in the middle.

He thought it was weird, there were no reports of a gang being sighted in these streets, so he thought it was just a private area or something.

Before he could close back the door, it seemed someone already noticed him.

"Hey!"

The voice echoed around the wide space of a room.

"Come here! Why don't you join us?"

Gilbert thought, 'Join what? All of them are just standing.'

"No thanks, I'll just go home." He replied.

"Come on! I won't take no for an answer!" It seems the man in the middle was persistent.

Gilbert was hesitant to, he wasn't in the right mind to do something in the middle of the night...but he nodded and just walked towards the man.

Once he stood in front of the man, he noticed the people around him were quite and tense. He was observant, he didn't think this was simply a gathering, it's getting late into the night.

"Well? Don't you recognize anyone?" The man asked him.

Why would he know anyone here.

The man was suspicious, he was parted by the light, you can't see his face clearly because he's in the shadows.

The light was so bright, it was blinding, but it helped Gilbert, because there's no mistaking in the face he's seeing.

There was only one female there, and she was one he knows.

There stood, Bianca or more so known as...Colin.
