"Congratulations!"

"What?"

"You are about 5 weeks along."

Violet and Gilbert decided to go to the doctor's later in the afternoon after unpacking.

Gilbert was shortly led outside the room for the doctor to 'confirm' her suspicions. The doctor took a blood sample, sent it to the lab and here we are...

"Again please?" Violet needed to hear that again if her hearing was right.

"You, Mrs. Bougainvillea, are about 5 weeks along in you pregnancy. In other words, you are carrying yours and Mr. Bougainvillea's child." The doctor confirmed.

Violet slowly nodded, still getting that fact in her head.

The doctor lightly smiled at her, "Would you like a sonogram?"

"...can I re-schedule...for that?" Violet asked.

"Yes, of course. You can come back anytime this week." The doctor said calmly.

"Yes,  I'll see you then." Violet said, starting to walk out the door, but before she did.

"Congratulations again."

"...yes, thank you." Violet said, before going out the door.

As Violet stepped out the door, she breathed in, then exhaled out, keeping herself from ranting and over-thinking.

She doesn't know how to feel, she and Gilbert wanted children, but isn't she too young? No, that wasn't the problem, this isn't the right time, she is being pursued be dangerous people, is it the right time to have a child?

"So, how was it?" Gilbert said as he walked up to her.

'How would Gilbert react?'

"What'd the doctor say?" Gilbert asked.

When Violet, yet again, stayed silent, Gilbert assumed.

"Is it bad?" Gilbert asked, concerned.

"No, it isn't." Violet said, softly. 'Maybe it isn't.' "It was nothing...just effects of lack of sleep." She answered.

Gilbert slowly nodded thoughtfully. "Okay, let's go home then?"

Violet smiled, "Yeah."

When they reached the house, Gilbert headed to the kitchen.

"Go ahead and change, I'll start cooking dinner." Gilbert said.

Violet was about to offer to cook, but her body felt a little more tired than usual, so she just nodded along.

She sat on the stairs and removed her shoes, after she did, she just stayed there, closing her eyes, leaned back.

Gilbert noticed this, "You okay there? You need help getting upstairs?" He said, walking towards Violet.

"I lied." Violet said quietly, not opening her eyes.

"Huh?"

"When I said, it was just lack of sleep." Violet started.

"So, what is it rea-"

"I'm pregnant." Violet said, clearly.

"You're..."

"I'm....pregnant." She said, more slowly, opening her eyes, looking at Gilbert's reaction.

Gilbert's eyes were widened, and his body frozed.

Violet was a little scared, 'What? What are you going to say? Don't you....don't you want this? I, uh.....'

Gilbert slowly kneeled in front of Violet, laying his head on her lap. Violet tensed but soon relaxed and put her hands on Gilbert's head.

"I'm..happy." Gilbert whispered, but Violet heard it loud and clear.

"I'm happy too." Violet replied.

Gilbert smiled, he straightened his back, still kneeling, put his hands on her waist and looked at her.

"Are you okay with this?" Gilbert asked.

"...It's going to cause us more trouble."

"That's fine." Gilbert replied.

"We're going to be on more guard."

"That's fine too." Gilbert replied yet again.

Violet was tearing up.

"What's wrong?" Gilbert asked.

"I don't know." Violet mumbled.

Gilbert chuckled lightly, "I guess we don't a lot of things huh?"

Violet smiled, "I-I don't know what to say....I love you."

Gilbert smiled, bringing her closer to him, he hugged her.

"I love you too."
