"Your room is the room on the right. The room beside yours is the bathroom. Go ahead and make your room, let's have a well-balanced breakfast before our meeting at half past eight." Conrad declared.

"Yes, I'll be right out, thank you for letting me stay at your home." Gilbert said, nodding at the man.

"Oh, it's fine. I apologize if I may be disrespectful to you in this house, I feel too comfortably here, Sir. Bougainvillea." Conrad said, meekly smiling.

"That's alright, this is your home after all. And please, call me Gilbert when we are in your own residence, Conrad." Gilbert said, nodding before heading to lay out his things in his new room.

Conrad was pleased with what kind presence will be staying in his home, he was glad it wasn't something who would disrespect his rusty home.

'But I swear I heard about this name Bougainvillea before, I just don't know where to place it.' Conrad thought, only to give up a little later because it was giving him a headache.

After having breakfast, Conrad and Gilbert headed to the station, just in time for attendance.

Captain Admiraal, seeing Gilbert and Conrad arriving, he started. As he started, Conrad stood in line with the other officers while Gilbert stood behind and beside the Captain.

"....okay, it seems everyone is here, and on time as well. Okay, good, we have a new officer joining our station. Step forward Sergeant." Captain Admiraal said, asking Gilbert to step in front of him to introduce himself.

Gilbert stood in front of Captain Admiraal, not wandering his eyes and just looked ahead with a straight face.

Having done this multiple times before, he decided to just introduce himself like he did in the past.

"My name is Gilbert Bougainvillea, I will be your new Master Sergeant at this station, I hope we get along well and work our best." He introduced briefly and bowed.

Captain Admiraal nodded. "Okay, today, we'll be doing drills, Sergeant Bougainvillea, you are to do the drills, I am to supervise. After that, we have paperwork to file and for others, half-time, you get to leave work early, the other stations covered for us today. That's all."

After those words, the line disassembled instead, they all formed columns, waiting for Gilbert's orders, with Captain Admiraal sitting in his office looking out the window.

With no hesitation, Gilbert Bougainvillea started his drill.

"Okay. Let's warm up, follow me, we'll do ten rounds around this station, following my count...Now."

The morning drill was pretty easy, worked up a sweat. But that thought only went through Gilbert's head. The warm up was easy sure, but straight after that it was medium to intense real quick. Good thing after drills it was paper work and scout, and for the others, it was half day.

For the ones who were half day, Admiraal asked the officers to bring Gilbert on a tour of the area.

Fortunately for Gilbert, Conrad was one of the people who had half time.

"So, what do you want to see, Sergeant?" One of the officers asked.

"You don't have to call me Sergeant outside of work."

The officer nodded. "So? What will it be?"

"Well, I'd like to have a drink, how about you?" Gilbert replied, wanting to get a refreshment and to get to know a little better about the people in Gardarik.

"Hmm, want some beer?"

"But it's only midday..." Gilbert wasn't one to drink.

"Come on, just for today, we won't get drunk, just a drink, a bottle or two." The officer said, insisting it'll be a good time.

'Well, I guess it'll be fine.' He thought, so he said.

"Okay."
