"You see, the thing I want you to write is not a letter. I actually don't need you to write for me, I can write well enough." Mara said, making Violet and the others confused.
"If you didn't ask me here for letter writing then what is it, Ma'am?" Violet asked.
"Well, I've always wanted to write a survey on what people think of this town, namely foreigners, but not much foreigners come by this town, and if there is, they're not interested in participating in the survey." Mara explained.
"So what want to do know is for you to roam around the streets of this town, and come back by the end of the day and relay what you think. Is that alright?" Mara concluded, asking if they're interested.
"Ma'am, but this isn't part of my job description as a Auto Memory Doll." Violet stated.
"I know, I didn't really know what I expected." Mara said, looking down.
"But," Violet said, giving Mara a little hope, "I'll do this for the sake of society and data. Though, please know that my actions are not of CH Post Company's services, and that we will still be pay-" Violet was cut off by a-
"Yes, of course! Violet is it? Thank you very much, I'm sure you'll not regret your decision." Mara exclaimed, clearly excited.
Violet meekly smiled at her excitement, to be honest, it's been a while since she's been here in Lechernt, so she thought it'll be a good experience, especially with new people like the twins and Emma.
"Oh, right, before that though, I'll have to introduce you to my husband and daughter." Mara remembered.
"You have a family ma'am?" Violet asked.
"Yes, even though it's morning, the both of them are busy with their own thing." Mara chuckled just at the thought of it. "Do you mind if we go now? I'm sure my husband wouldn't mind."
"It's alright, right?" Violet said, looking at the group.
The group nodded, wearing their coats back on, knowing it's cold outside.
"Here, give me your bag for a second." Gilbert offered, letting Violet wear her coat.
"Thank you." Violet replied, smiling.
As they walked through the town, they soon noticed more booths and shops are open.
"It's much like Leiden isn't it? So lively." Gilbert commented.
"Yes, it is." Violet added.
A little while later, Violet decided to make conversation with Mara.
"So Ma'am, where does your husband work?" Violet asked, curious about the survey she was making, she was planning on asking more questions.
"Oh, my husband? Well, he was actually unemployed not too long ago, but his brother's friend got the both of them slots at a publishing company." Mara said.
"Oh?" 'Sounds familiar.' Violet thought. "How about your daughter? It doesn't seem there is school this time of the season." She asked.
The lady smiled at the thought of her daughter, "Oh, you see, my daughter is quite like her father, can't sit still and always wants to learn new things, even though they aren't blood-related."
"Not blood-related? What do you-ah!" Violet said, before....
A bicycle came by, at the wrong place, at the wrong time....
