"So then, I'll be going now..."
"Oh, yes, have a safe trip back." Gilbert replied to Bianca.
The two days have passed, it is the day when Bianca will be leaving and Gilbert will be taking his Master Sergeant test, in which no doubt will he be failing.
When the house door had closed, Bianca sighed, and began her walk to the train station.
'Okay, so now, I'll take a ticket back to Gardarik, easy peasy.'
She walked up to a ticket booth.
"One ticket to Gardarik please." She said, already looking for money in her bag.
"The next available train to Gardarik Empire is...6:30 PM, will you still be taking the train?" The person stated.
"Oh, is that so? Do you know what the current time is?" Bianca asked.
"It's 1:55 PM."
'Ughh, not now, I'd have to wait what, 5 hours?!' She thought brashly in her head.
"Mm, okay, it's fine I'll buy the ticket." She said, giving her money to the attendant.
"Alright, here you go, one ticket to Gardarik Empire, have a good trip."
'Yeah, yeah...' Clearly in a bad mood.
"Gilbert."
"Yes?" Gilbert had suddenly popped his head up from the bathroom.
"Oh, it can wait, you should wash your face first." Violet said, seeing the soap on his face.
Gilbert nodded and just finished washing his face. After that, he walked towards the closet and wore an undershirt, but before he wore his uniform, he faced Violet who was holding a box in her hands.
"Here you go, it's a very late birthday present, I had forgotten to give it to you, sorry." Violet said, giving him the said box.
"It's alright, you bought me a gift, thank you." Gilbert happily opened the box, reaching inside, he saw that it was a watch.
"Oh."
"Don't you like it? I assumed you'd like a practical gift, it's a new design, it's built to last so you can wear it while in duty." Violet stated.
"No, I love it. Thank you." Gilbert smiled at how thoughtful Violet was on buying something for him. "I'll wear it."
And so, he wore the watch to the test.
"Congratulations, you passed the test."
"Oh, okay then, thank you." Gilbert said with sincerely eyes, about to leave.
"Oh, and here, you go. This is your newly issued Gardarik Uniform, the Lt. Colonel and Captain Admiraal have had it sent here for you to wear when you arrive at Gardarik." The receptionist handed him a bag.
"Oh, thank you." Gilbert took the bag.
"You leave within this day, so that by the time you can reach Gardarik, you'll be there by morning."
"Really?" He was quite confused, he knew he'd be sent to Gardarik on short notice, but he didn't think that they'd ask for him right after the exam.
"It says here, you should be leaving today, your day as Master Sergeant starts at Gardarik by tomorrow morning. If you leave in an hour or so, I have no doubt you'll have extra time on your hands when you get there."
"Oh? Well then, when's the next train ride to Gardarik?" Gilbert asked the receptionist.
"Hmm, well, it'll be at...6:30 PM."
He looked at the time with his newly used watch. It read, 4:18 PM.
"Oh, it's actually quite late already, okay then. Thank you Miss, I'll be going now." He thanked the receptionist before walking back to his home, he walked putting his cap on.
When he arrived at his house, he was greeted by Emma.
"Welcome back Sir Gilbert, would you like some tea?" Emma greeted him.
"You don't have to do that Emma, you aren't a servant, sit down for a second." Gilbert said, removing his cap. "I'll be leaving tonight at 6:00 PM, the train will be leaving at 30."
"Oh, so you'll be leaving so soon?"
"Yes, it's an order from the higher-ups, so I hope you continue to look after my household, as well as Violet." Gilbert asked of Emma.
"Yes, of course, oh, and Violet is upstairs, taking a shower." Emma said.
"Okay, thanks. I'll head up." Gilbert said, walking upstairs and entered the room.
"Gilbert, welcome home." Violet greeted.
"Yes. The higher-ups have requested me to be at Gardarik by morning, so I'll be leaving tonight." Gilbert bluntly stated.
"Oh, is that so? Okay then, I'll help you pack." Violet stated.
(A/N: I have always imagined that if ever Violet and Gilbert were to be a couple, then they'd be the type who'd reserve their feelings towards one another, and have this unbreakable trust between them. That's what I thought of.
Thank you very much for waiting and reading yet again. I hope you liked the chapter and is willing to wait for the next one! This is not proof read by the way.)
