(A/N: Please no bashing...)

Gilbert had just come back from finalizing some papers. He was sweating a little bit from the humidity, but it was fine since he reached home quickly.

"I'm home." He said, as he removed his shoes.

He walked up the stairs and opened the bedroom door. Seeing Violet looking at him, he gently hugged her before releasing her from the hug and lightly smiled.

"I'm back."

Violet smiled, "You are....what was the hug for?"

"I'm just excited." Gilbert said, removing his shirt, revealing his thin undershirt.

Violet chuckled, "Go wash up first."

"Right."

After he washed up, he approached Violet who was standing over the crib.

"He's sleeping..." Violet said.

"Yes, and quite soundly." Gilbert commented.

Both of them just fascinated at their newborn son.

A moment of silence took over...

"He's cute, isn't he?" Violet commented.

"He's also small." Gilbert said, softly brushing their son's cheek with his finger.

"Of course he is, he's still a newborn."

.....

"Are you sure about his name? Because I've already sent his papers for his birth certificate." Gilbert asked, still staring at the baby.

"When will the papers be finished, by the way?" Violet asked, also staring at the baby.

"They said they'll send it by mail in a week or sooner." Gilbert replied.

"Mm...well, of course I'm sure, I like the name, don't you?" Violet asked, tapping on the baby's leg to keep him from waking.

"Well, I like it too." Gilbert glanced at his son again. "I guess, he does kind of looks like my father...oh yeah...that's right."

"What?" Violet looked at Gilbert.

"I met Dietfried today, he said he'll come by our house to meet his nephew." Gilbert said.

"Oh, but didn't Mr. Hodgins, Iris, Benedict, and Erica said they'll come by too?" Violet said, think about the people visiting today.

"Brother said, he'll just stay a short while." Gilbert said.

Before Violet finishes her though, the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it. That's probably brother." Gilbert ran downstairs.

Violet just waited outside the door.

"He's in here."

"Is his room not finished yet?" Dietfried asked.

"No, it is, Violet just felt better having his crib close by for now." Gilbert answered.

Dietfried and Violet's eyes met...

...

..

.

"Violet." Dietfried walked towards Violet.

"Dietfried." She called.

"How are you? Are you well?" Dietfried said softly smiling, hugging Violet and patting her back.

"I am well. And you are?" Violet asked.

Dietfried released his hug, "Oh, very well. I came here to see how you and your newborn son is fairing."

"I heard." Violet turned to the crib to pick her son up, then turned back to Dietfried wearing a surprised face.

Their child had dark blue hair, but the shade was a bit lighter, just like Gilbert's. And his eyes are blue, just like Violet's, but the doctor said the blue can become darker as he grows older.

"He has the Bougainvillea hair, just a bit light, but it's obvious he's a Bougainvillea."

"Is that all you have to say brother?" Gilbert said, chuckling.

"No, I mean he's....cute?" Dietfried said, not knowing what to say.

"You don't have to compliment him..."

Violet walked towards Dietfried. "Do you want to hold him?"

"I do..." Dietfried brought out his arms and Violet gently laid him on his arms.

"Watch his head..." Violet commented.

Dietfried looked at the baby who suddenly opened his eyes and started looking around.

"Such curious eyes...he hasn't met me before and...he isn't crying." Dietfried said.

"Well, he only cries if he needs to, he's very calm." Violet said.

"Is that so...just like Gilbert." He mumbled, "I remember, have you selected a name for him yet? I haven't heard." Dietfried asked.

Violet smiled, "His name is Robert Jacob Evergarden-Bougainvillea. Robert was picked from-"

"-Father. Robert was Father's name..." Dietfried said, glanced back at the child he is holding. "Aren't you quite mature for your age, Robert? You're still a few weeks old after all."

Little Robert smiled at Dietfried.

"Will you look at that? It seems he heard me..." Dietfried softly smiled. "Well, it's best I go now, I still have some work to do. If you'd let me, I'd like to visit again."

"You are welcome to visit again." Violet commented, taking Robert from his arms.

Dietfried smiled, "Alright. Take care, now. You too, little brother, I'll see you soon. Make sure to take him to see mother sometime soon."

"We will..." Gilbert said, "I'll walk you out."

Dietfried nodded.

Violet smiled, and then looked at Robert.

"You have lots of family, so be patient and go back to sleep..." Violet said.

Robert blinked.

"Haha...you're very handsome, don't worry, they'll all like you."

Robert yawned.

"Alright, you should continue your nap, you have a lot of visitors today." Violet said, laying Robert in the crib on his back.

But he squirmed in discomfort.

Violet took him back up again and laid him on the bed. Then she unwrapped his swaddle and let his arms and legs free.

"So you didn't like the swaddle huh?" Violet said, taking Robert carefully and laying him on the middle of the bed, then she laid beside him.

"You can sleep now." She said, softly patting his legs.

Robert yawning again while Violet was patting him.

"Mm, sleep well, my son..."

(A/N: Would you guys like for me to continue? I'll wait till the next few weeks...I'm super busy y'all, but let's see.)
