Of course, they were feeling jumpy, overly excited to see their home. Though they were excited, they didn't show it, instead on the train there, Violet felt a little....motion-sick, if that's what you would call it.
It was morning, with the cool fall breeze and the clouds slightly covering the sun, the moment was ever so kindly ruined when Violet felt a little nauseous on the way to Leiden.
This was a little bit more than odd, though it wasn't unexpected, Violet had already informed Gilbert of how she felt last night and how its been happening for the past few days.
Feeling nauseous isn't the only symptom she's having, she also felt light-headed sometimes, and most often or not vomit if something is too strong.
Gilbert offered to delay the trip but Violet insisted that she is alright.
"Violet, we're here." Gilbert alerted.
Violet slept on the way to Leiden, trying to sleep off what ever sickness she had.
It was exactly afternoon by the time they got there, they first headed to post company.
They dragged their luggages until they reached the company. Gilbert opened the door.
"Hello? Anyone here?" Gilbert half-shouted as the room was built big.
"Huh?" A head popped up from one of the desks. "Violet? Gilbert? You guys are back?" It was Jewel.
Jewel stood up, walking up to them. "So how was vacation?" She asked.
"Oh, it was good, got a little home-sick to be honest." Gilbert replied.
"It was refreshing." Violet commented.
"Uh, where are the others and the reception?" Gilbert asked.
"Oh, I offered to cover for them while they take a break, we haven't had a client request yet and Anne took the recent one." Jewel explained. "They're in the breakroom if you're looking for them, the new employees are up there too." She added.
"Yeah, we'll go on and say our hello." Gilbert said, walking towards the stairs.
Violet quietly followed.
Gilbert was a little worried for Violet, so he asked her while walking up the stairs, "Are you okay, you seem quiet."
"I'm fine, I just feel...different." Violet answered.
Gilbert wasn't really relieved with that answer but didn't question it.
Then a young man showed up in the hall, seeing Violet and Gilbert, he walked up to them.
"Hello? May I help you with something, Sir?" Asked a hazeled-eyed young man, looking uniformed with his long-sleeved polo.
"Oh, um, you are the new employee I presume?" Gilbert asked, the young man.
"..Yes, I am. Yousef Sharif, nice to meet you. And you are?" Asked, the young man named Yousef, carefully.
"Yes, nice to finally meet you, I am Gilbert Bougainvillea." He said, shaking Yousefs hand. "And this is my wife-"
"Violet Evergarden Bougainvillea, nice to meet you too, I am a Memory Doll here in the C.H. Postal Company." Violet said. "Exuse me for my quiet demeanour, I am not feeling well this afternoon." She added.
Gilbert frown on what she added.
"It is quite alright, Benedict and Iris told me and my brother about you, but mostly about Mrs. Violet." Yousef said, "My brother and the others are inside this room, holler at me if you need anything, I'll be at the mailing room." He said before walking downstairs.
Gilbert creaked open the door.
"-so maybe we sh- Gilbert, and Violet too, you're back!" Iris exclaimed.
Then starting from there, their afternoon didn't become so quiet any longer.
