"Come on, let's go."

It's been two days since that incident, the next train arrival was expected to be Violet and Gilbert's train.

Lucas, Liam, and the other officers at Gilbert's office were there, standing, waiting for Gilbert.

The train arrived....

Lucas sighed, he walked back up a bit to see the train and the people departing from it.

There first walked out Gilbert, then Violet, then the others, wearing a neutral face. The others were wearing a neutral face because they were slightly tired from the trip and didn't really knew what to think. But Gilbert and Violet wore a neutral face because they expected something bad had happened even though they don't want the bad thing to happen.

Gilbert spotted Lucas, then the others, his heart pumped faster in slight fright, and his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. 'I had a feeling something bad had happened, it just never went away.'

He walked towards Lucas and the others, leaving Violet to stand and wait for him.

In Violet's head, she was worried, 'Did something happen?'. From what she can see, Lucas and the other officers saluted at Gilbert with frowns on their faces.

Then when their hands went down, Lucas spoke to Gilbert, though Violet didn't hear. Lucas' hand gently patted Gilbert's shoulder then saying something.

Gilbert wore a shocked look, scared. He wore for a long few seconds before frowning and slowly nodding.

"Do...you want us to tell Violet?"

"No. I'll tell her....later. And...umm, Jewel...did you tell her?" Gilbert asked.

"Yeah, we told her. She looked fine, but everyone knew she isn't. Mr. Hodgins let her off of work for however long she wanted."

"Right. About the funeral-"

"Tomorrow. 5 pm."

"Okay........thank you." Gilbert said, before walking towards Violet and the others.

"What was that?" Yousin asked, curiously.

"Oh, it's nothing. Just....some work." Gilbert said, "you guys can go home now, I'll report in with Hodgins later."

The twins and Emma said nothing else but nodded and bowed before going.

"Don't we have to give these papers to Mr. Hodgins first?" Violet asked.

Gilbert just looked at Violet, with sorrowful look and such. Violet just nodded, and held Gilbert's hand.

When they reached their home, they changed first before sitting down on the edge of the bed.

"So? What is it?"

Gilbert looked thoughful. He wore a particular face, a face he wore before, a face Violet forever will remember.

Violet grew worried.

"What happened?" Violet asked, her head rushed and she thought of something. "Is it James? He wasn't with the others."

Gilbert's eyes widened, before his eyes were just sad. The truth was told before it was spoken. Gilbert lightly hugged Violet.

"What-"

"James was killed two days ago, when they found him, he was already dead." He whispered like it was a forbidden word.

Violet nodded, her eyes watered, and her mouth quivered. She let out a short sob, before hugging Gilbert back. Crying on his shoulder quietly.

'I can't breath properly......James is-'

Gilbert tried to comfort her the most he can, but all he could do was be there. He laid his hand on her head and slowly stroked it. He laid his head on her head.

He frowned.

'James is dead, and we didn't even notice. He died.'

'He's gone.'
