The next day later Violet went back to work. Gilbert insisted for her to stay home but Violet couldn't, she felt that she didn't want to be at home all alone with Gilbert at work.
She walked through the door of the Post Company and immediately noticed that people were staring and glancing at her, but didn't say anything. She went inside the Memory Dolls' room, a second later she wemt inside, Iris, Cattleya, and Claudia walked toward her and voiced what they were thinking.
"Are you okay? Did that guy hurt you?" Iris asked, with a worried face.
"Ah, no, he didn't hurt me, I'm fine." Violet said.
"Are you sure? You look a little pale..." Claimed Cattleya, Hodgins nodded.
"No, I'm alright, I had....I didn't get enough sleep is all." Violet said, trying to reassure them.
But Hodgins wasn't convinced, he saw through Violet.
"You should go home Violet, take a day off." Hodgins offered.
"It's okay, I-" Violet tried to dismiss the offer but Hodgins insisted.
"Okay fine, I'll take a day off." Violet finally said, giving in to Hodgins' offer.
"Good, and before you head home, I'd like to talk to you in my office." Hodgins stated, he looked serious.
Violet nodded, then followed Hodgins to his office. Once they walked in, Claudia sat at his chair and gestured for Violet to sit.
"So Violet..." Hodgins started, "I wanted to talk to you about these threats against you this past year, as well as the very recent attempts on killing you." He said, while getting something from his drawer.
"People with an address from Gardarik have sent me, or more specifically, the company threats to harm employees and also including me, the employer." Hodgins explained.
He then continued while showing Violet the letters.
"How horrible." Violet commented.
"Yes indeed." Hodgins replied.
Violet stopped her eyes at the first letter she read.
"The thing is, they all have said, they wouldn't harm this company if you were given peacefully..." Hodgins said, carefully observing Violet's expression. "Of course, I couldn't take up the offer, you are a very important person in many of peoples lives, you don't deserve treachery."
Violet smiled but still kept a nervous face.
"To be honest I didn't show you to my office just to show you this." Hodgins explained, "I wanted to offer for you to have a leave of absence until your life is no longer in danger."
Violet slowly nodded, not knowing what to say yet.
"Violet...you should lay low, with all these threats I think you should stay in you house and hire a bodyguard." Hodgins said slowly, trying to convince her.
Violet bit her lip and looked down, unsure if that would be the best.
Hodgins sighed, "Okay then, let's make a deal."
Violet looked up, interested.
"If no one appears to be threatening you within a month, then I would let you come back. How about that?" Hodgins questioned, thinking how stubborn Violet was.
Violet slowly nodded, acknowledging the deal.
"Good, now I'll just write a letter of consent and then you should head straight back home." Hodgins said, writing the letter.
"Right." Violet said, still feeling uneasy.
