Violet walked home, 'Maybe a month off work might be beneficiary.' She kept on walking then stopped on her tracks, 'Maybe I should pay Mr. Cairo a visit. I haven't greeted him since that one time a year ago.' She turned around and headed towards Mr. Cairo's pharmacy.

As she entered, she heard, "Welcome, how I help-Ms. Violet! Nice to see you again!" He exclaimed.

"Actually it's 'Mrs.' now." She said chuckling, walking towards him.

"Really? Who to?" Aciel Cairo asked, he had an idea who it was but didn't want to jump into conclusions.

"It's my former boyfriend Gilbert, that I spoke to you about. My apologies for not visiting you for a year." Violet said, bowing.

"Oh, please don't, I'm sure you were busy with something, and congratulations. Oh, how about we catch up in my house, I'm sure Jeanne will be happy to see you are doing fine." Aciel offered.

Violet thought about it, "Of course, if you'll have me." Then she pondered, "But isn't it too early for you to close for the day?"

"Oh, it's fine, it's nearly 6 o'clock, one hour-off the time schedule wouldn't hurt anybody." Aciel said, fixing his things.

Violet helped Aciel close his pharmacy and right after that, they went back to Aciel's home.

"I'm back!" Aciel yelled as he opened his door.

Jeanne greeted him back, "Welcome back! Oh! Violet right? You're here as well, good, will you be going us for dinner? I made a lot today."

"Ah, no thank you, I'll be home before dinner starts." Violet replied. "Excuse me for the intrusion." She said bowing.

"It is quite alright, we haven't had a guest in a while, it'd be nice to have your company." Jeanne greeted, "Would you like some tea? A biscuit perhaps?"

"Yes, please." Violet replied, walking towards the living room.

Once they all sat down, Aciel asked, "So how long have you been married?"

"You're married? Who? To that Gilbert fellow? Is it?" Jeanne exclaimed excitedly.
"Sorry."

"No it's fine, yes it is Gilbert and I've been married for over 1 year." Violet explained.

An hour or so later, in the Cairo's, was spent talking and catchimg up in each others lives. In the middle of the conversation, Violet was suprised to hear Jewel was engaged to James, she'd have to talk to him about that later and give her congratulations to both of them.

"I think I have to go, it's starting to get late and I need to make it before dinner. Thank you for having me, it was nice to talk to someone." Violet said, getting up and walking over to the door.

"Ah, well, walk home safe. Goodnight Violet." Aciel said, escorting her to the door.

"Goodnight." Violet replied, then walked back home.

When she got home she ate dinner, which she made then went to bed early. She changed her clothes, took a bath then laid in bed staring up at the ceiling.

"I'm home." Gilbert said, obviously tired by the sound of his voice.

Violet went down the stairs and greeted him. "Welcome home, have you eaten yet?"

"I have." He replied.

"Oh. Then how about a hot shower and just lay in bed?" Violet said walking back up the stairs.

"That'd be nice." Gilbert replied walking up, "I had a long day."

"Want to talk about it after you've had your shower?" Violet asked.

"Yeah."

After Gilbert had his shower, they dimmed the lights and just laid in bed, talking about work, Jewel and James, the Cairo's, Lucas, until they fell asleep.

The next morning, someone came knocking on the door.
