50: Suprise....

"Did you ever imagined me as your father?"

Silence filled the kitchen.

"Wha-" Violet quickly composed herself. "I did. I only thought of it when I thought of what you were to me. But when I-"

Violet thought again, "Did you- why- I...... don't understand what you are asking."

Gilbert looked at Violet plainly, then a split second later, his eyes widened in surprise of what he had said.

"Oh, it was- arghhh..." Gilbert looked away from Violet and ran his hands through his hair. Then he looked back at Violet, he sighed, "it's nothing. It just popped up in my head and I suddenly said it. Ughh...sorry."

"No, it's fine. I understand, I have random thoughts too." Violet nodded, continuing to walk towards their refrigerator and grabbed some eggs, then settled them down on the counter.

While Violet started to cook, she called towards Gilbert, "Could you get our guest?"

Gilbert simply nodded and went upstairs. He knocked on Colin's door.

Colin (Bianca), who was laying down on her bed was startled.

"Hello? It's morning, I hope you get up and get ready. You and I will look for a place for you to stay." Gilbert said through the door.

"Uhh, okay, I'll be down in a minute or two." Colin replied through the door.

When Colin thought the Gilbert walked back downstairs, she grabbed her messenger bag, then walked out the door.

'Toilet...mm, ah! Here we go...'

She washed her face with some soap, and wiped it off with a towel and tied her hair neatly. Then she looked at herself in the mirror.

'Did that guy say he'll help me find a place to stay? But don't I have to spy on them? Uhh...maybe it's better to stay close to them.' After she 'self-assessed' herself, she walked downstairs.

When she went down the final step, she immediately smelled-

'Food.... haven't eaten in a while...' While thinking that, she hadn't realized that her stomach growled.

"Oops..." She said, embarrassed of herself.

Violet looked at Colin blankly.

"Well, food's ready. Let's eat." Violet said.

After eating and washing the dishes, Gilbert headed upstairs to change while Violet and Colin opted to sit down on the the couch.

Colin meekly looked at Violet.

Then spoke, "I really am sorry."

Violet looked at Colin.

"About yesterday, the things I said. Sorry about that." Colin said.

Violet lightly smiled, "It's alright, no harm done."

"But I injured your feet."

"It's okay, what's done is done."

Awkward silence enveloped them.

A short yell was heard forwarding them.

"Okay..." Gilbert reached down the stairs. "Let's go, I'll just tie my shoes."

"Right." Colin stood up, looking towards Violet again."Uhhh, I don't think I caught your name...Miss..."

"I did tell you but...no matter, better to have a proper introduction. My name is Violet Bougainvillea, but my doll name is Evergarden." Violet explained.

"Yes, thank you. I'm...Colin, I don't have a last name, so Colin is fine." Colin said, shaking hands with Violet.

"Okay then, 'til we meet again." Violet nodded towards Colin.

"Right." Colin nodded back, walking towards Gilbert who was right by the door.

"I'll see you later in the afternoon, wait for Emma, okay?" Gilbert told Violet.

Violet nodded.

Then Colin and Gilbert went off.

"We're going to my office first, if you don't mind." Gilbert said.

"It's fine." Colin replied.

They walked in Gilbert's office, immediately bombarded by the officers there.

"Sergeant, you're here, you have a letter." Liam told Gilbert, handing him the letter.

"From who?" Gilbert said, taking the letter, opening it.

"From an Emma Mellor? Is this Lucas' sister? "

"Ahh...yes." Gilbert reads the letter.

It read,
"To Sir Gilbert,

Sorry, but my in-law invited to a birthday party so I can't go, she said I had to help with some preparations. I send this to your office because I don't know your exact address. I'm really sorry.

From,
Emma Mellor."

Gilbert sighed, "Nothing helping it. I'll be home early anyway."

Gilbert looked at Liam, "Hey, is the Lieutenant Colonel here?"

"No, he said he had a meeting with Administrations." Liam said.

"Oh, okay, well, I'll have to go to Administrations too, I have a meeting as well. You and Lucas are in-charge, okay?" Gilbert said.

"Okay, got it."

Gilbert looked at Colin, "Okay, let's go."

Meanwhile...

"What is this?" Emma said.

"It's a surprise." Violet said.

"What?"
