(A/N: This is...a filler chapter? I actually don't understand what is a filler episode or chapter because I still read it and find it interesting. I hope it's the same for you people.)
After Violet left the room, Gilbert used this time to think to himself.
'I was going to tell her about it because one, she's my wife and she deserves to know, and two, what happened is something I have to tell her. It's only a matter of time before the paper catches wind of it, so I'll have to tell her about it soon either way.' He thought to himself.
He thought about a lot of things, and before he knew it, Violet was done making breakfast and was about to head upstairs.
Gilbert had remembered when Violet first made him breakfast. In all honesty, it was....edible. I mean, it was food after all, no one should waste such luxury of eating.
Violet had opened the bedroom door and walked in, assuming that Gilbert is still asleep. As she leaned into the bed to tap on Gilbert's shoulder, she was took by surprise when he unexpectedly grabbed her arm and quite aggressively pulled her underneath him.
Though it didn't hurt Violet, she was startled, not knowing that he would do that.
At the moment, both looked at each others eyes. Gilbert slowly leaned into her and gently kissed her on the lips. As he released, Violet's eyes were dazzled.
As he saw that, Gilbert leaned into another kiss, but this one was more passionate than the other. With this, Violet leaned in as well. It was a couple of seconds before they released from it to get some air. The kiss left them breathless.
Even though it was just a kiss, both of them were blushing.
Violet was the first to speak.
"Did you miss me that much?" She slightly chuckled at herself for asking such a question.
Gilbert smiled comically, he answered with a, "Of course I did."
As Gilbert was about to lean in again for another kiss...they were both startled and interrupted when a knock on their bedroom door was hear.
Both of them kept silent. They didn't know that Emma had quietly entered their house and headed upstairs. They also didn't know that she would open the door so quickly after she had just knocked.
"I'm coming in...Oh, Sir Gilbert, you're back....."
When Emma opened the door, she noticed two things. One was that Sir Gilbert Bougainvillea was home, and two was that she might have interrupted something.
"I'll just....close the door." Emma commented, as she awkwardly closed the door and headed downstairs with unsupervised thoughts.
Violet and Gilbert gaze shifted from the now closed door to each other.
Violet said, "Umm, can you let me stand now?"
"Uh, yes." Gilbert sat up, and stood up. "You go on ahead downstairs, I'll just freshen up."
Violet nodded, "Okay then."
Before she left, Gilbert gave her a quick peck on the lips.
"Go on then."
Violet smiled and headed down.
When she reached the kitchen, she looked at Emma who is sitting on the couch, tapping her foot.
Violet called out to her, "Emma."
"Mm?" Emma's head glanced up at her.
"Would you like some breakfast?" She offered.
"Oh, no thanks. I ate at big brother's house before I went here." Emma replied, standing up.
"Hm? You mean Sir Lucas Mellor? Yes, I almost forgot, you two are siblings." Violet thought up.
"Yeah..." Emma half-heartedly replied, obviously thinking about something.
Violet saw this. "Emma." She called again.
"Oh. Yes?" Emma said, walking up to Violet.
"Can I tell you something?" Violet asked.
"Hmm? What is it?" Emma asked, now quite curious on what Violet is about to say.
Violet meekly whispered softly against her ear.
"Gilbert and I.....are expecting a baby boy."
"Really?"
Violet just nodded, passing her a cup of tea.
Emma took the cup, "Oh, thanks. Does Sir Gilbert know?" She asked excitedly.
Violet smiled at her, "No, he doesn't. I will tell him soon enough. And you don't have to call Gilbert, Sir anymore, he feels a little uncomfortable with you using that honorific on him." She confessed.
Emma slightly tilted her head. "Mm? How come?"
"Mm, well, you see, Gilbert and I think of you as trustworthy person, so it would be awkward if you call your friend, Sir." Violet answered her, nodded her head slightly while setting plates.
Emma looked quite happy with the answer. "You and Si-I mean, Gilbert, think of me as a trustworthy person? And a friend? Even with all the things I have done?"
Violet just smiled at her, "Don't you know that Gilbert and I have done things too in the past? Besides, we wouldn't have hired you to provide me assistance here if you weren't thought of as trustworthy."
Emma smiled, nodding her head.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
As soon as those words came out of Violet's mouth. A quite loud thud was heard from the stairs.
