"Hey." He shook her on the shoulder. "Wake up, it's mid-afternoon."

Violet woke up. "Oh, sorry, I forgot that I was supposed to wake you."

"It's fine." He took Robert into his arms. "Let's eat something." He said, walking down the stairs.

Violet nodded, and drowsily followed him.

"Violet."

"Mhm?" She still was half asleep, because the moment she opened her eyes, Gilbert stood right in front of her.

She got startled.

Gilbert grabbed her with his free arm to prevent her from tumbling. "You okay?"

Violet nodded, "Yeah, sorry. You were saying?"

"Right, I was thinking if you'd like to eat out tonight." Gilbert said, walking over to the kitchen and taking out some bread.

"Sure." Violet said, as she took a plate and butter.

While Gilbert waited for the bread to toast, he got some sweet ham from the refrigerator and laid some slices on his own plate. He sat down.

"So," He said, sitting Robert on the counter for a second. "are you going to tell me now? About your talk with Hodgins? It's been a day."

"Right," Violet said, taking the toast and putting it on the plates. "it was about a suspension."

"Suspension? What for?" Gilbert asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Mm...rather than suspension, President Hodgins said to think of it as a leave." Violet said as she slid his plate of bread towards him.

"But you said it as suspension." Gilbert, cradling Robert in one hand and eating the toast in the other.

"Yes, well, he worded it as such as well." Violet said, as she took a bite of her toast.

Gilbert nodded along. "Well. I guess you should take as much rest as you can. Though it's almost been a month, you still had a rough delivery with Robert. You could barely do anything the first two weeks."

"Yes, but I'm fine now. But he did mention that it was a medical leave. It's not a paid leave, but that's fine as well. We'll survive. There is a rise in employees and supply payment, so it's understandable." Violet nodded as well.

"Here," Gilbert carefully handed Robert to Violet, "my arm's falling asleep. He's getting heavy."

Violet accepted the sleeping Robert. "He's still sleepy." Just the comment made them smile. A baby's sleeping face, especially if he's yours, is bound to be breath taking.

"He's perfect."

"I...think so too."

...

"So, what do you want to do? It's my free day today, so we could do anything." Gilbert said, laying Robert on the bed as he changed into casual wear. "We could go for a walk if you want, maybe walk around the square?" He said, suggesting.

"We could do that." Violet agreed. 'A long walk in early September would be nice, though cold, it's nice to get some fresh air.' "Let me get changed into warmer clothing first. Can you change Robert?"

"I've got it." He said, as he finished changing and has started changing Robert onto more warmer clothing.

"Alright, let's go."

...

"What?"

"I mean after my leave. Do you think I could travel again?" Violet said, as if asking for his permission.

"Of course you can, but before that, we should look for a baby sitter, maybe a care giver." Gilbert suggested. "Because we are both working parents, we can't just leave Robert alone-"

"Of course not. I agree to your idea." Violet said as she strolled with the stroller in front of her.

She glanced up at Gilbert, "Do you have anyone in mind?"

"Well, yes." Gilbert said, "She's a person on my mind as of right now when it comes to care giving." He said, as he stopped walking and sat by a bench. Violet did the same.

"Really? Well, who is this person? What does she do?" Violet asked, setting the stroller so that she sees Robert in front of her.

"She's a maid. More specifically, she was my family's maid. She took care of me when I was a child." Gilbert said, remembering when he first met the lady. "I think she was only in her twenties when she looked after me."

"Then she must be quite old now." Violet commented. "How is she?"

"She had died of an illness." Gilbert said.

Violet had a surprised expression on her face. "Oh."

Gilbert chuckled at her expression, "Well, the reason I brought her up was because I met her daughter."

Violet nodded for him to continue.

"When we went to visit mother, she was there. Of course I didn't know who she was, but she reminded me of the maid I talked to you about. Turns out, she is her daughter. She wanted to work as a maid in honor of her mother she said." Gilbert explained.

"Mm, so you're thinking of asking her to be a care giver for Robert?" Violet put her thoughts out.

"Yes, if you decide you want to meet her, and if the head maid and butler of my mother's estate would let me. She looked like a decent person." Gilbert commented.

"Decent enough to be trusted with our son?" Violet carefully asked.

"I should hope so, yes." Gilbert expressed.

"...well, if you say so, I'd like to see her in person." Violet said, tapping her foot on the ground.

Gilbert smiled slightly, "You know, if you're uncomfortable with this, you can say so."

Violet nodded submissively. "I know. I think I'm just a bit paranoid is all...because of all the things that happened in our home."

Gilbert nodded, understanding her concerns. He gently kissed her forehead. "Just tell me if you have any concerns, I'd like to know them if I can."

Violet smiled. "I love you."

"I love you too."

Then a soft whimper was heard. Violet took Robert out of his stroller.

"Of course, we love you too, Robby."

Additional Scene:
"Robby?" Violet asked.

"It's what my uncle called my father." Gilbert explained.

"Oh."

"Is it a good nickname?"

"Mm...we'll think up of more." Violet said, thinking about it.

Gilbert chuckled, "All right."
