"Hey, James! I got you some lunch!"

"James? Where is that brat?" Lucas Mellor  mumbled, holding a brown paper bag with some sandwiches.

"Maybe he went out." Replied Liam Rowe, who ate lunch with him.

"No, he wouldn't, he offered to watch the office for us while we went out. He wouldn't just leave." Lucas said, walking around. He sighed, "Maybe he fell asleep, can you check the breakroom?"

"Yeah, on it." Liam went on ahead.

Lucas went to check the office of Gilbert. 'Maybe he slept here?'

He opened the door, only to find...........

nothing?

'If he isn't here where is he?' Lucas thought.

Just as Lucas fully closed the door, he spotted something out of place. There was a piece of paper near the desk. He opened the door again and went to pick the paper up.

He kneeled down to grab the paper, but as he was about to stand up.

His eyes widened.

"God...." He whispered in shock.

"....James......James! Hey!" He kneeled over and went to grab his shoulder.

Lucas heard his own heartbeat in his ears, his eyes were hurting from his shock.

There he was, lying there, eyes slightly open, mouth dripping blood, his uniform drenched.

It was a horrific sight.

Lucas, shaking, put his two fingers on his neck.

'No pulse.'

He waved his hand over James' mouth.

'Not breathing.'

He then grabbed James' blood drenched arm.

'He's....dead.'

Lucas shakingly stood up in shock, he ran his fingers through his hair and stared at the lifeless body.

"Oh, James...." He whispered.

Liam walked in. When he saw the body, it seemed he had the same reaction.

Oh God....that's what he is now....a body.

James....

James....

James....

While Lucas and Liam were still in shock, Lucas took the paper and read what it said.

"Let the games begin."

                                             -Yours truly, E.J.

This was written in perfect cursive, it seems whoever this person who most likely killed James, took a piece of paper from Gilbert's desk.

"Liam."

Liam looked at Lucas.

"Call an ambulance to pick up the body."

"What about-"

"I think we should start going to people's houses. We should inform Mr. Hodgins." Lucas said, bluntly.

It would be pitiful to grieve more than the people close to the person who died, especially when they still don't know. But still, it's James. Honestly, they don't really get to judge that, they were grieving too.

"And send a letter to Lieutenant Gilbert." Lucas said.

"What should we tell him?"

"Tell him, he should brace Violet and himself." Lucas said frowning. "We can't tell them through a letter, they're in a job right now. The least we could do is prepare Gilbert for it, especially Violet, I heard they were bestfriends. Oh God, we have to tell his wife, Jewel." He looked up.

"Almighty God in the heaven, please give us the strength to continue, in the Name we pray, Jesus Christ. Amen." He prayed.

"May you help us Lord." Lucas furrowed his eyebrows, taking another glance at James' body. He winced.

One question filled his head after another.
