Episode 5, Act 8 - Anything Could Happen

The day after the wedding, the New Directions were back in school, chattering excitedly about the wedding and how much fun they had at it. Finn was in charge of the Glee Club while Will was away on his honeymoon with Emma and was in charge of the lessons for the week. He started off the week with the New Directions performing the Ellie Goulding hit 'Anything Could Happen' which featured Marley on lead.

 The New Directions Girls helped Marley on background as she performed as they seemed to be coming together more than ever for the performance. Finn watched them looking proud. The girls helped the guys onstage as the song went on. Brittany and Sam danced together during the song feeling closer together than before. Artie then took over the lead. Jake then sang to Marley trying to prove he'd be there for her. As the New Directions as singing we cut to Rachel who is in bed with Brody and looks nervously at her calendar, realizing she's late for her period and begins to get worried. As the song comes to an end the New Directions celebrate together, meanwhile Rachel is awaiting the results of her pregnancy test, scared of what the truth might just turn out to be.

After the results, Rachel had called Quinn sobbing into the phone nervously. "Hello?" Quinn answered her phone as all she heard was muffled crying in the background. "Rachel? Are you there?" "Yes," Quinn heard her sniffle. "Rachel, what's wrong?" Quinn asked worriedly. "I messed up...I can't believe I messed up," Rachel cried. "Wait slow down what happened?" Quinn asked Rachel. "Finn and I slept together at the wedding," Rachel said "And it turns out I'm pregnant." "With Finn's baby?" Quinn asked as Rachel sobbed. "What am I going to do?" she asked Quinn in tears. "Rachel...I think the first thing you need to do is tell Finn," Quinn told her seriously. "How can I?" Rachel sobbed "I have a boyfriend." "How do you know it's not his?" Quinn asked her pointedly. "I don't," Rachel said emotionally. Quinn couldn't help but cringe knowing all too well what Rachel was going through. "Do you need me to come back to New York? I can go with you to your appointment," Quinn offered. "I'd really appreciate that," Rachel sniffled. "Hang in there Rachel...it's going to be okay," Quinn told Rachel seriously. "I hope so," she sighed as they got off the phone. Rachel glared down at her positive test clearly concerned of what could be her future.
