As the weeks had gone by since Kurt's breakup with Blaine, Blaine couldn't help but feel incredibly alone even if he had caused what happened by kissing Sam. More than that he didn't feel like part of the group when all of the New Directions seemed to scoff at his ideas. "Hey Finn, I think I have some great ideas for numbers at sectionals," Blaine grinned handing Finn some sheet music to a song that clearly was meant for him to sing as some of the New Directions roll their eyes. "You know I thought when you transferred from Dalton you were ready to be a team player, apparently it's still the Blaine show," Tina scoffed annoyed as Blaine looked down, he wasn't trying to take the lead off of anyone, he just thought that he was one of the strongest vocalists and could help the New Directions crush sectionals.

That day had also been one of Finn's first few days at McKinley where he felt the pressure of filling Will's shoes. "Okay, guys, sit down. We got a lot of work to do today," Finn said as the students didn't seem to listen to him "No, seriously, come on, I mean it, sit down." Finally all the New Directions took their seats. "Okay, so the first order of business today is to welcome the newest members to the glee club Ryder and Kitty," Finn smiled as the club clapped for Ryder and Kitty. "Wait, don't we all get to vote on her or something?" Tina asked raising her hand annoyed. "Well, Tina, Kitty was fantastic in Grease," Finn smiled. "In spite of my god-awful part," Kitty smirked. "Besides, we're under the gun. We have to go to Sectionals next week and we need 12 members to compete," Finn said honestly as Tina rolled her eyes annoyed. "Don't we have 12 with Ryder joining?" Marley asked trying to be helpful as Finn frowned. "Guys, come on we need to come together as a team! The more members we have, the better," Finn said as the New Directions looked unsure about Kitty being a part of the club.

"Uh, look, where was I?" Finn said scratching his head as the New Directions looked at him skeptically "Sectionals, yes." Finn then got up to go to the board "Here's the game plan," Finn opened the marker which then promptly broke as he frowned "Broke the marker." Finn then frantically looked around for another marker "Where does Mr. Schue keep the other markers?" The New Directions looked at each other once again thinking Finn replacing Mr. Schue was a mistake. "Uh Screw it. Uh The theme is "Foreigner." We're gonna sing songs by Foreigner in foreign languages, wearing all the costumes of the world's nations," Finn grinned as the New Directions once again exchanged unsure looks. "Wait, seriously, that's your idea?" Artie asked in disbelief. "Yeah," Finn beamed. "Kiki, what do you think?" Brittany asked her phone as she pressed a button. "I think I'm alive and you're the machine," Kiki, the voice from her phone said as Brittany grinned. "Finn, times have changed. We're national champions now, which means we have to exceed all expectations, so if that's your best idea, I don't think we stand a chance," Blaine said honestly as he got up as Finn looked confused. "Wait, where are you going?" Finn asked. "Back where I belong. Dalton Academy," Blaine said as the New Directions and Finn looked horrified. "I tried to stick it out here, I did but, I don't want to be sidelined my senior year and if we can't find a way to come together, that's exactly what's going to happen," Blaine said simply as he walked out of the choir room as everyone exchanged nervous glances, realizing that without Blaine, the New Directions chances just got slimmer and slimmer.

As Blaine was packing up his things in the hallway as Sam approached him frowning. "Stop it," Sam said. "Stop what?" Blaine asked confused. "You've been beating yourself up for, like, weeks since you and Kurt broke up. But going back to Dalton? You told Finn it was 'cause you feel more at home there. If you ask me, it's just another way to punish yourself." Sam said as Blaine sighed. "What am I supposed to do? Stay here when this is where I betrayed Kurt's trust? Besides, no one appreciates me here," Blaine said. "Well..I do," Sam said honestly as Blaine looked surprised "And if you'd give me a chance...I really think we could have something special." Blaine seemed to understand where Sam was coming from, especially since the two had such a connection in the weeks prior to what lead up to the kiss but he had been in such a haze of his breakup with Kurt that he hadn't given much thought to a relationship with Sam. "I don't know...you know I still love Kurt," Blaine sighed not wanting to lead Sam on. "And I was still in love with Brittany even though she didn't care about my feelings. You were the one who helped me realize I didn't have to stay that way and I want to be that for you," Sam said honestly as Blaine's face lit up realizing he didn't have to go on feeling heartbroken and alone as he began to picture himself singing the Taylor Swift hit 'All Too Well'.

"Oh, your sweet disposition and my wide-eyed gaze. We're singing in the car, getting lost upstate. The Autumn leaves falling down like pieces into place, and I can picture it after all these days. And I know it's long gone, and that magic's not here no more, and I might be okay, but I'm not fine at all," Blaine sang as he made his way to the choir room. "'Cause there we are again on that little town street. You almost ran the red 'cause you were looking over me. Wind in my hair, I was there, I remember it all too well," Sam sang joining Blaine as the two performed the song together in front of the others jamming out together as Blaine once again took over. "Maybe we got lost in translation, maybe I asked for too much," Blaine sang. "And maybe this thing was a masterpiece 'til you tore it all up," Sam sang. "Running scared, I was there, I remember it all too well," Blaine and Sam harmonized. "Hey, you call me up again just to break me like a promise," Blaine sang. "So casually cruel in the name of being honest. I'm a crumpled up piece of paper lying here," Blaine and Sam harmonized. "'Cause I remember it all, all, all," Blaine sang. "Too well," Blaine and Sam harmonized. "Yeah," Blaine sang. "'Cause there we are again, when I loved you so back before you lost the one real thing you've ever known. It was rare, I was there, I remember it all too well. Wind in my hair, you were there, you remember it all," Blaine and Sam harmonized. "Down the stairs, you were there," Sam sang. "You remember it all," Blaine and Sam harmonized. "It was rare, I was there, I remember it," Blaine sang. "All too well," Blaine and Sam harmonized as the New Directions cheered for them as they finished.

"Wow guys that performance was amazing and totally what I was hoping to accomplish this week," Finn grinned. "Yeah well I had to something to convince Blaine here to stay," Sam smiled a bit at Blaine. "I have an announcement on that actually," Blaine said honestly as Sam and Finn took their seats intrigued to see what Blaine was going to say. "I just want to apologize to all of you. Even though we've had our differences, leaving the team a week away from Sectionals isn't the answer. So with that being said, I've decided to stay," Blaine smiled a bit as the New Directions cheered excitedly hugging Blaine, glad he was staying at McKinley for good. Sam couldn't help but beam with pride that he had convince Blaine to stay but most of all, he had gotten a relationship with someone who cared about him.
