I have bought a moderate-quality "Glock 18c pistol", which is still in my possession. Here are two articles I've written, in connection to my latest acquisition.

I've actually bought an airsoft gun that looked similar to a Glock 18 (Compensated model?) two days ago. It's not a gas-operated model as one would think of a true "airsoft" pistol; rather it was a spring-operated model that will break down internally after repeated use. However, its uncanny similarity in proportions relative to the standard-issue Glock 17 pistols the PNP currently have on its weapons arsenal―with the exception being the firing selector, of course―is actually a great thing: a normal person would not spot the difference between a standard-issue sidearm and this particular airsoft gun I have at first glance, because both have roughly the same overall dimensions and material composition. However, that uncanny similarity also meant that I would easily land up in jail, or worse, if I were to brandish it in public―not that I would make a carry weapon out of it, because I have no Permit to Carry, for starters. (Plus it's election season―the time when the generally dumbed-down public will vote for whoever politician has the best looks, rather than the best political platforms that will save the Philippines from further Neanderthal regression.)
Might actually post pictures of it if ever I have the time to do so.

It has been two days since I've posted about my recent acquisition, and I find myself bringing the spring-operated Glock 18 with me every night whenever I go to a retail variety store to read a novel. (Stupid move, I know.) And since it's election gun ban, I am becoming more and more aware of the dangers awaiting me whenever I have it tucked in the small of my back, covered by my own clothes. But, fuck it―I just love the contours of this particular airsoft pistol in my hands, even though the grip is relatively bulkier than my broken-down spring-operated 1911 pistol. And since a real full-sized Glock pistol holds 17 rounds of 9mm Parabellum, I have my "piece" loaded with the same amount of 6mm plastic pellets inside the magazine―but I did not load one in the chamber, as it's not a safe practice. As promised, here's a picture of the spring-operated Glock 18 airsoft pistol, together with the books I've brought with me. Currently, I'm reading "The One That Got Away" by Chris Ryan―and fuck that shitty disgrace of a TV show by GMA that had the same title. (Nahiya sana sila sa former SAS operator dahil iyon ang tunay na "The One That Got Away".)*
* Translation: They should be ashamed for the former SAS operator, because he was the true definition of "The One That Got Away".
