A degenerate's pledge. A legend's challenge. And two hentai animé titles on a watch list only a select few know―and speak of―due to its highly controversial themes. That's how it started for this "legendary" abomination―a vile creature of darkness pretending to be human―and a new member of the HENTAI SPECIAL FORCES. And the abomination's journey to his own path of destruction began much earlier than expected―when he decided to watch a particularly "notorious" show, one of two on the aforementioned watch list, on his vacation to a lonely small town devoid of all creature comforts of the big city.
'Shoujo Ramune' is just another hentai animé title one might have heard of and forget afterwards, if not for its rather simplistic and shockingly familiar story of a male protagonist on his forties, being close to―and have obtained the trust of―three young, innocent girls (with their ages not more than thirteen!) in a quaint, tranquil small-town setting. And, as with all hentai animé, that simple premise eventually ends up with the same protagonist grooming each girl into having raw, "happy" sex with him on numerous occasions―with no one in the community being the wiser.
Each of the three girls have a different relationship dynamic with the protagonist throughout the story:
* Chie's relationship with the "not-so-old man" has [d]evolved to a classic case of manipulation―with no other option but to use her body as a ticket out of every "happy accident".
* Komako's relationship with the "not-so-old man" is that of a reluctant student getting to learn from her teacher by experiencing it herself―and returning back the favor afterwards.
* Tenka's relationship with the "not-so-old man" has bloomed into something much more . . . disturbingly romantic, after taking her first successful step towards her goal―with him as her "guide".
How did 'Shoujo Ramune'―the story itself―came to be? Before arriving to the main point, this article will present two possibilities in regards to its protagonist. 1) He was once a working class man who was born and raised in the big city, who decided to move and live the rest of his life in the relative peace of the countryside; or 2) he was once a young boy from the same countryside, who moved out to work in the big city, and decided to return to his hometown upon early retirement. Somewhere along the way, before the beginning of the story, the protagonist has had come to know, and got close to, three young girls who visit his small variety store from time to time . . . and for reasons only the protagonist knew, he decided to know them more, and earn their trust.
Children are friendly and inquisitive by nature; even with the parents constantly reminding them not to mingle with strangers, they have a wide-eyed interest in everything that is happening around them. That trait is something a pedophile―in this case, the kindhearted protagonist―will exploit to his advantage. And in order to not have any trouble with the community in the future, a pedophile―again, the kindhearted protagonist―has to establish himself as a respectable member of the same community―someone they can trust fully. And since the animé itself does not have that John Wayne Gacy-kind of vibe, the protagonist got off easily with his crime, in which the three young girls have become willing victims themselves, due to his relatively kind and gentle nature. Lastly, in order to "silence" all three young girls he had sexual contact with, the kindhearted protagonist have shown each one a certain kind of "warmth" that made them feel special, secure and loved in their own way. (Also, to add another point, Komako's "lessons" with the protagonist has something to do with winning Chie's heart completely.)
In other words, 'Shoujo Ramune' is just a lolicon-themed hentai that caters to a certain kind of degenerate desire that most of the male viewership cannot find in other hentai animé―
Or . . . 'Shoujo Ramune' might be the pedophile's much-awaited comprehensive guide on how to properly "cultivate" (earn the trust) and "harvest" (have sex with) any young girl of his liking―much like Frederick Forsyth's bestselling novel, 'The Day of the Jackal', being the contemporary assassin's comprehensive guide on the basics of the highly complicated art and science of "contract killing"―and get away with it scot-free.
