The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

SUBJECT: AkosiDogie's alleged leak of latest 'One Piece' movie, online backlash, and repercussions.

THE BAD: One more incident like it, and the Philippines will be off Japan's list for releases of future animé movies.

THE UGLY: The true supporters of animé will end up becoming the losers, thanks to "bandwagons" who "flex" stuff like watching the latest animé films on the big screen (I may be wrong on AkosiDogie's case, but that's beside the point). Like, couldn't one keep it to themselves―or if one really wants to share their movie experience, why not write a spoiler-free review about it?

THE GOOD: (I put this last, because it's more like a "Devil's Advocate"-type opinion over a near-hypothetical situation) If―or when, depending on how you view it―another incident like this happen, and Japan scratches the Philippines off their list for good, I think it'll be fine. True, Filipino fans of animé will be back at square one when it comes to overall access, which will be either watching it on animé streaming sites, or pirating it, but it will be the first step towards "gate-keeping" the fandom (as a whole) from the so-called "mainstream". At this point, bandwagons are completely ruining the overall viewing experience for those who truly appreciate animé for a variety of reasons―and one can see it on a great number of animé, over all known social media platforms.

FINAL NOTE: The last statement might come off as being rude and/or elitist, but I am still being rational about it. Otherwise, I can outright say, "Fuck those bandwagoning normies―time to step on 'ze gas'!", as opposed to writing this latest GBU entry, and leave it as it is.
