"Fuck! All the ice cream is gone!" I groaned as I threw my empty tub across the room, landing it in the bin. "Language squirt." Danny teased, I simply glared at him. "I have no more ice cream!"
"You shouldn't shout Cooper, it'll hurt your throat." Felicity said. I sighed before leaning back. I was still in my boxers, I had bandages and ice packs all over me. My cousins were all in my room, my step brothers were downstairs, not caring about me. Levi and Lilli filled Danny and Jackson in about what happened, they gave me a proud smile for how I had stuck up for Felicity but they said I was a bit stupid for trying to fight all of them.
Thanks.
"Real talk guys, how are we hiding this from Aunt Grace? I don't know if you've noticed but Cooper is practically a grape!" Jackson said, referring to the numerous bruises on me. We all looked around at each other, trying to figure out what to do. We all looked at Felicity and Lilli, seeing them staring at each other. A smile grew over their faces before they ran out of the room. "The fuck?"
"Language."
"Shut up! Why were they smiling? What are they planning?"
"Why so nervous, Squirt?" Levi asked, a teasing smirk on his face. I scowled at him before the girls walking back in, carrying a bag? "W-What you got there?" I asked, cursing myself for stuttering. Lilli simply smirked as her and Felicity walked over to my bed, sitting on either side of me. "G-girls? Levi, help me?" Levi shook his head with a chuckle, Lilli pulled out the one thing I dreaded.
Make up.
"Get that shit away from me!" I shouted, causing my cousins to laugh, Felicity giggled while Lilli smirked evilly. "You asked how to hide it from Aunt Grace. Make up will." I groaned as I tried to move away, my arm collapsed underneath me. A pained gasp escaped my lips as I fell back to my bed. "Shit! You good Red?"
"Y-Yeah. My arm just hurts."
"Your whole body hurts, you won't stop whining." Levi pointed out. I flipped him off as I accepted defeat, letting the girls cover up my injuries with make up.

"Done!" I sighed in relief as Lilli and Felicity took a step away from me. Lilli handed me a mirror, I looked in the reflection and you couldn't see a single mark on my face or neck. "H-Holy shit! How did you-" Felicity smiled sadly at me, I instantly knew why. She's had to do this before... hide her scars and bruises.
I painfully climbed off of my bed, making my way over to Felicity who was sitting in a bean bag that Levi and Jackson had brought up. Felicity looked at me weirdly as I practically flopped down on her, my head rested by her neck and my arms were wrapped tightly around her stomach.
We both stayed quiet as I hugged Felicity, she eventually wrapped her arms around me, hugging me back. "Thank's Licity." I muttered into her neck, smiling as I heard her giggle. "Um, I helped too Red." Lilli said in a 'Duh' tone. "Shut up Lilli! Let them have their cute moment." I groaned as I let go of Felicity, standing up and glaring at my cousins. "You guys ruined it." I deadpanned as I walked over to my drawers, I grabbed out some grey sweatpants, a black tank top and a blue hoodie.
I threw them on before making my way back to my bed, right as my head hit the pillow, someone called me. "Cooper! I'm home! I got you some food!" I groaned but still got up, I felt tired but my hunger beat that. I motioned for Felicity to come, she shyly walked over to me, taking me hand in hers.
I smiled slightly as we made our way downstairs, Lilli, Levi, Jackson and Danny following. I could practically hear Lilli's smile and Levi, Jackson and Danny's smirks. When we got downstairs, I called out to mom. "In the kitchen!" She shouted back, I made my way into the kitchen. I just expected to see mom and Harrison, not my four step-brothers too.
I froze, my eyes widening slightly. Everyone turned to face me, my mom looked straight at Felicity. Felicity moved behind my back, squeezing my hand lightly. I looked at my mom, coughing slightly so she would turn her attention away from Felicity. "Cooper, who's you're friend?" Mom asked as she smiled at me, I scowled as I saw my step-brothers smirk.
That scowl was quickly removed when I felt Felicity lay her head on my back, her free hand drawing small circles along the hoodie yet I could feel it through the fabric. I smiled softly, I gave Felicity's hand a light squeeze before finally answering mom. "Mom, this is Felicity. She's the new girl at school and I said I'd show her around, she's also my friend."
"Hello Felicity, It's nice to meet you. I'm Grace, Cooper's mother." Mom said with a warm smile, Felicity moved from behind my back, sending mom a smile back. "Isn't that the girl that was with you in art?" Blake asked, I just nodded my head. I took a seat at the table, Felicity sat beside me. Mom handed out dinner, fish and chips. I kept a hold of Felicity's hand throughout dinner, rubbing my thumb over the back of her hand in the hope to keep her calm.
It was starting to piss me off that my step-brothers kept staring at Felicity. I glared at them a few times but the didn't seem to notice. I could tell it was making Felicity uncomfortable, she kept squeezing my hand. "Non preoccuparti per loro, sono degli stronzi." [Don't worry about them, they're assholes.] I whispered to Felicity, earning her cute giggle which put a smile on my face.
My step-brothers all looked at me suspiciously, I only shrugged my shoulders at them, a cheeky grin on my face. Felicity gave my hand a light squeeze, turning my attention back to her. "Non sapevo che si potesse parlare italiano" [I didn't know you could speak Italian] Felicity said.
Help me, I swear to god my heart just stopped...
"Ho imparato in giovane età, mi sono annoiato e ho deciso di imparare l'italiano dal momento che la maggior parte delle persone vanno per il francese o lo spagnolo." [I learnt at a young age, I got bored and decided to learn Italian since most people go for French or Spanish.] Felicity smiled at me, I smiled back. It was a simple conversation yet it brightened my day so much... until some fuck-tard kicked my shin!
I looked up to see Xavier staring at me, I glared at him as I rubbed my now aching shin. "What do you want Xavier." I growled at him through clenched teeth, he pointed to my mom who sat looking at me with an eyebrow raised. "Yes mom?"
"I asked, when does Felicity need to be home?" I turned to Felicity, she just looked at me with a bit of a small smile. "My mama, had to go for a business trip this morning, she wont be back till Monday." Felicity whispered out, but loud enough for mom to hear. "Well then sweetie, you can stay here till then! Since it's Friday, you kids don't have to go to school tomorrow!" Mom said, probably really excited that I had a friend...
Me too mom... me too...
