~"Don't do this... please."~

I laid on the floor, my body aching as they continued to kick me, beat me, hurt me. Any part of me that was exposed, they attached. My head, my neck, my stomach, my back, my legs, me.

"Please, just stop! Please!! I just want to sleep..." I sobbed, they just laughed at me. I felt my body shudder, I hated their laughs.

Next thing I know, I was rolled onto my back, my arms and legs pulled to the side so I was suspended like a star fish. They held me tight as I tried to squirm out of their grip, I could feel the tears welling in my eyes as fear drowned my other senses.

"W-What are you doing?" I chocked out, I looked around and saw something walking towards me. He had the same wings as Misery, but slightly bigger. His face was hidden like Agony and he was about the same size as Suicide. He wielded only one of the weapons instead of two, I knew exactly who he was...

Sam.

He stalked towards me, his blade scratching against the ground as his wings hung loosely behind him. He stalked over to me, standing right above me. He dragged the blade beside my face, I could feel the cold steel brush against my skin, leaving behind a trail of blood.

I held back my cries, knowing it only feeds their hunger. Sam placed his foot on my chest, slowly applying pressure. I kept my mouth shut, squeezing my eyes tightly in a hope to subdue the tears.

I felt a hand clasp my throat tightly, cutting off my air supply, my eyes shot open to be met with Sam's burning gaze. His grip on my throat tightened, his foot applying more pressure, forcing the air out of me in a long breath.

I knew now what he was trying to do, he wanted me to wake up. I felt his blade pierce my cheek, I tried to suck in a breath, only to have his hand tighten around my throat.

I could feel the blood dripping down my cheek, falling to the ground beneath me. I tried desperately to breath, but nothing got past his hand. "Just surrender Cooper, just wake up already." He said, his voice guttural and gravely.

I shook my head, I wouldn't give up so easily. His head tightened even more, my mouth fell open as my eyes started to roll into the back of my head, I needed to breath...

"Good morning Cooper..."

No...

I woke up with a jump, gasping for air as my hand went to my throat. I gently rubbed my throat, taking in deep breaths as I willed away the tears.

"I see you've woken up." Sam said, causing me to look over at him. His eyes glowed, a beautiful sight that I found myself staring deeply at it, I couldn't look away. "Stand up." I moved the blankets off of me, swinging my legs over the edge and sliding out of bed. A smirk grew over his face.

"Follow." He started walking backwards, I once again found myself doing as he bid. I walked after him, my eyes constantly trained on his. He walked into the bathroom, I followed him like a bee to a flower. He pointed in front of the sink, I glanced at it from the corner of my eye. "Stand."

I stood in front of the mirror, looking through the reflection, my eyes still focused on his mesmerising ones. His eyes glanced down at the blade sitting on the edge of the sink, I looked down at it too. "Pick it up." Instead of obeying him, I found myself hesitating.

Tears sprung to my eyes as I fought desperately to keep my hand by my side, but against my will, I picked up the blade. "Seven." He said, a small sob escaped my lips as my hand lifted the blade to my bare arm. I looked in the mirror, staring into his eyes pleadingly. "Please... Don't do this, I beg you. Don't do this... please." I whispered out, my voice brittle as my Adam's apple bobbed, I swallowed hard, trying to subdue the tears.

"I. Said. Seven." He seared out through clenched teeth. Another sob left my lips as I felt myself drag the blade across my skin. I squeezed my eyes shut, willing myself to stop, to drop the blade and to go back to bed. But my feet wouldn't move, my body stood frozen and my hand kept moving, dragging the blade across my skin.

"Don't close your eyes, I want you to watch." He said, my eyes peeled open, landing on my arm as the forth cut was made. Unlike the other times, I could feel the pain as I did it. I didn't feel the adrenaline, it always stopped the pain from seeping through. But I had no adrenaline right now, hell, I wasn't even controlling myself.

Another pained sob fell from my lips as a few tears spilled from my eyes, rushing down my cheeks. "Stop! Please, just stop!! It hurts!" I cried out, my voice wobbly as I spoke. The fifth and six cuts hurt the most, running right over two scars that were still healing, reopening them.

After the seventh, my hand stopped, placing the blade in the sink. Blood rushed down my arm as another tear fell, landing on my arm and mixing with the blood. But I was quiet, not a sound left my mouth as my eyes drifted back to the mirror, back to him.

He walked closer to me, placing a hand on my shoulder. I felt a shiver run down my spine, it ignited fear throughout me. His hand moved from my shoulder, his fingers creepily caressing my skin before stopping at the cuts. "Bandage it" I reached down into the cabinet, pulling out the med kit.

I placed it on the sink, I washed away the blood on my arm, disinfecting it and wrapping. "Clean the blade." I washed off the blade, careful not to cut my fingers as I got rid of every last drop of blood. I closed the blade, placing it back in the drawer along with the med kit before looking back at the mirror.

"Look at yourself." I looked at myself in the mirror, but I could still see him gazing at me. I had teary and blood shot eyes, my hair was a mess and I looked pale. No one else would notice but I could, I notice everything.

His hand crawled back up my arm, instead of resting on my shoulder, it wrapped softly around my neck. His other hand stroked my arm, another shiver ran down my spine. "We won't tell anyone about this Cooper, will we?"

"No." He smiled as he gripped my throat tighter, making it slightly harder for me to breath. "This will be our little secret, Cooper. Our precious, delicate, beautiful secret... won't it?"

"Yes." I croaked out, tears springing to my eyes once again. I felt his fingers brush over my scars, feeling every single one of them as though he was memorising all of them.

"Our little secret..." He said again, as though he sounded pleased with himself. A tear slid down my cheek slowly as I took a shaky breath, I watched as it crept down my face till it hung beneath my chin, holding on ever so tightly.

It fell, landing on my bandaged arm. But I stayed looking at the mirror, focusing on myself, like Sam told me too. His words rang through my head, over and over again.

Another tear fell.

Our little secret...
