It was Monday morning when I woke up, I got in the shower and got ready for today. I got dressed into my blue jeans, a white Nike shirt and a grey Champion hoodie. I combed my hair slightly, making it stick up at the front like it always did.
I made my way downstairs, sitting down at the table as Grace was making some pancakes. "Morning Blake." She said with a smile. "Morning Grace." I smiled back, Xavier came downstairs, leaving the house immediately. I just rolled my eyes, he goes to meet Zeke every morning.
I've moved further away from Zeke, he isn't like he used to be, he's a lot more... rebellious? He's become a lot more stupid now, always wanting to skip class and all that shit.
James sat down beside me, ruffling my hair. I glared at him before trying to fix my hair, he only laughed. As much as this pissed me off, I was going to miss this. James would be going somewhere to do with jewellery and art, somewhere near here but still pretty far. And Carlos... He's flying all the way over to Massachusetts to go to Harvard Law school...
As much as I hate my brothers sometimes, I'm honestly going to miss them...
Carlos and Dad were the next to walk into the kitchen. Dad walked over to Grace with a smile, placing a kiss on her cheek. I don't think I've ever seen dad smile this much, ever. He didn't even look this happy in the photos with my so called "mother", Grace really did make dad happy.
Cooper was the last one to walk into the kitchen, he was wearing his usual clothes, a long sleeve thermal, a short sleeve over top and his blue jeans. He was putting a black hoodie on as he entered, he pulled the hood down and shook his hair a bit, his curls bouncing as he did so.
He sat down across the table, he held his arms close to his body as he sat there, his foot tapping on the ground. Grace turned around, handing Cooper some breakfast. Cooper smiled at his mom before starting to eat, although he didn't exactly eat much.
James looked over at Cooper with concern, Cooper looked up at him and just smiled. I watched James relax slightly, going back to his breakfast. Cooper stared at his breakfast, his head slowly shook, then nodded. He blinked as he picked up his bag, he gave Grace a kiss on the cheek before he left.
                              Weird.
After another ten minutes, I got into my car and drove to school. Once I got there, I met with some of my new friends. There's Justin, he's on the football team with me, he's quite good, like me. Then their's Anthony, I met him through Soccer. Then there's Jasmine, she's Anthony's sister and she's pretty sporty like him. Leanna, she's Jasmine's best friend. And that's who I hang out with now, they are all really cool and were happy to have me as a friend.
Once the bell rang, I went to first class. It was rather boring so lets skip to second class, History, which Cooper and Damian are in. They sat at the front of this class while I sat at the back, I noticed Damian trying to talk to Cooper but Cooper seemed to be in his own world. Damian stood up and walked in front of him, waving a hand in front of Cooper's face. Cooper didn't react, Damian let out a huff.
The door slammed shut as the teacher walked in, Mr Mc' Alfee, he's an asshat. Cooper jumped as the door slammed, he looked up at Damian. I saw Damian mouth "Are you okay?" Cooper just nodded his head, Damian sat down but he didn't seem convinced. "Okay class, today we will be talking about..." My mind slipped away, I focused on Cooper, watching as he seemed to fidget.
His leg bounced up and down. Whenever he turned his head, I could see him bite his lip. He pulled his arms closer to himself, hugging himself tightly. I wonder what that's about? I wonder if-
"Mr Hartley! I would appreciate it if you were not in Lala land. Please pay attention in class." Mr Mc' Alfee said, I noticed the whole class was staring at me now. Me being me, it didn't embarrass me. "Sorry Mr, but Lala land is more interesting then this classroom." The whole class laughed at that, even Cooper cracked a smile.
"Blake, I won't deal with your crap today, please just behave." Sir said as he pinched the bridge of his nose, he turned back to the board and continued to write. See, I wasn't one of those "bad-boys-who-always-gets-himself-in-trouble" nah, I was just more of the class clown, a lot of the teachers secretly like me, they just won't admit it. All I'll do is joke around, I won't disrupt a class but when the timing is right, I'll make everyone laugh.
As we continued with class, I completely ignored what the teacher said, I zoned out and focused back on Cooper. He fiddled with his pencil, tapping it on the table, chewing on the end of it, rolling it between his fingers. His leg bounced up and down, his foot silently tapping the floor, he couldn't seem to keep still.
The bell finally rung, Cooper rose from his seat and immediately left. I had another hour of class while Cooper got his lunch now. I let out a groan as I went to head to my next class. I had science now, a subject I'm not so good at...

"Hey, I'm on my way home, I asked to leave early since you'd be leaving today. I wanted to say goodbye before you guys left." I said into the phone, I heard Carlos chuckle lightly. "Hey, that's fine. Grace and Dad are on their way home too, Grace has told Cooper, he should be on his way home too." Carlos responded. "Okay, I'll see you soon. Bye."
"Bye." I made my way home, a sad smile on my face as I got closer to the house. Suitcases were already by dad's car, a few already inside, others waiting to be put in. James stepped outside, carrying a small duffel bag.
I dropped my bag, running over to James and pulling him into a tight hug. He let go of the bag, wrapping his arms around me as he hugged me back. "Even though you're an asshat, I'm gonna miss you." I told James, he let out a chuckle as he hugged me tightly. "I know buddy, I'm gonna miss you too. But, I'll be back for Xavier's birthday." James said, I nodded my head.
Carlos was the next to come out, he saw James and I, a smile blooming over his face. I stepped away from James, rushing over to Carlos and tackling him in a hug. He let out a chuckle as he hugged me back. "That excited to see me?" Carlos asked jokingly, I smacked his chest.
I would have said something, but I could feel tears welling in my eyes, I didn't trust my voice to speak so I stayed quiet, just hugging my brother.
                              I'm going to miss this...
