Chapter 88

Graces POV

I woke up and Hayes wasn't in bed and I remembered that he had football today.

I got up and went downstairs and ate a bowl of cereal.

I went to put the milk back when I saw a note on the fridge.

"Gracie, good morning beautiful! I forgot to give you your birthday present the other night, I'll give it to you tonight. I'll be home around 2, have a good day❤️ ~Hayes"

I wen upstairs and got changed, I put on sofies and a tshirt and converse, I wore my hair down and then I walked buddy.

once I got back from the walk I got my water and wallet and got in the car and left.

I drove to target and went in and got kayla makeup, clothes, hair stuff, girl stuff, and a lot of decorations for her room so it feels welcoming.

I checked out and then left. I put all of the stuff in the car and then drove to the food store.

I went in and got a lot if food and drinks and stuff then checked out and left.

it's already 1:30.

I got home and went inside and put everything away.

I was walking to gonna I down stairs when I tripped and fell and that's the last thing I remember.

Hayes POV

I left football and tried calling Grace and I can't get a hold of her, I've been calling her for like 10 minutes straight and she's not answering, I'm really worried.

I got home and didn't even grab my bag, I ran inside.

I saw grace passed out at the bottom of the stairs and her back was bleeding.

"GRACE WAKE UP!" I yelled and no response.

i called 911. Then I called Cameron.

Cameron said a will meet me at the hospital.

The paramedics came and took grace and allowed me to drive with them.

Once we got there they took grace out and ran in, I followed them then the doors to where she was going shut and I wast allowed back.

I sat down on the ground and started crying.

Cameron came in pulled me up and we went into the waiting room.

"she's gonna be fine" Cameron said

"I don't know how long she was laying there" I said

"I know, you were at football there's nothing you could've done" Cameron said

"she's gonna be so mad when she gets home and there's blood on the floor" I said

"I know" cam said

"dallas" the doctor said and Cameron went over to him.

"your sister is going to be fine, she had to get stitches in her back and she was knocked out from bold loss, we had someone donate blood and she's fine now, you can take her home, but she has to rest" the doctor said

"Hayes come on" Cameron said and we went into her room.

She was laying on her back staring at the ceiling.

"grace.." I said

"hey guys, can I go home yet?" she asked

"yeah, come on" Cameron said

she got up and had on sweat pants and a big t shirt.

we signed her out then went to Cameron's car.

we got in and he drove us home.

we walked in and grace started freakin out.

"this needs to be cleaned up right now, grab me the mop please" grace said to me.

"no, I'll clean it, you have to rest" I said

"HAYES JUST GET ME THE MOP!" grace yelled

"no" I said then went and grabbed the mop and did it myself and she just watched me.

"now go lay on the couch, I'll get your pillow from upstairs and a blanket from the linen closet and I'll make dinner" I said

"okay Hayes. Thank you" grace said then laid on the couch.

I grabbed we pillow and a blanket.

"grace lift you head" I said and she did and I put the pillow there then put a blanket on her and buddy laid with her.

I went into the kitchen and made soup then called grace in.

she sat at the island and ate the soup then the doorbell rang.

I went to the door and Richard and Trey were there.

"is she okay?" trey said

"yes. are you okay?" I asked

"yeah" he said and they came in

they went into the kitchen and saw grace sitting at the counter eating.

"hey" she said

"hey, how are you feeling?"richard asked

"I'm tired, I'm going to bed after I clean the kitchen and living room" grace said

"no your not, I'll clean" I said

"Hayes I hate when other people clean, just let me do it" she said

"grace I can't, the doctor said you have to rest so you are going to bed after this" I said

she rolled her eyes and then put her bowl in the sink.

she went up stairs and I cleaned up.

"we're going" trey said

"alright, see yous later" I said then heard the door shut.

I finished cleaning up then walked buddy.

I went inside and went upstairs to bed, it's only 9 but it's been a long day.

I saw grace still awake watching TV in bed.

I took my shoes and shirt off and laid next to her.

"I'm sorry for being mean, I just wanted to clean" grace said

"it's okay" I said then pulled her into my chest.

I wrapped my arms around her and then she jumped.

"it really hurts" she said

"I'm sorry" I said and moved my hands

she started crying.

"grace, does it hurt that bad" I asked

she shook her head yes then sat up.

she was still crying.

"do you want me to go get you a pain killer?" I asked

"I guess" she said

I got out of bed and went downstairs and got the pain killer and a water and brought it up to her.

she took it and didn't lay back down.

"lay on your stomach and see if it helps" I said

she laid on her stomach without a pillow so she was laying flat.

"thanks Hayes" she said and fell asleep.

grace hums in her sleep so I knew she was full y asleep because she was humming.

I closed my eyes and went to sleep.
