Graces POV

"babe get up you have work today" Hayes said

"I have off until Tuesday and it's friday, so I have off" I said

I wasn't under the blankets and I was freezing, "Hayes share the blankets" I said

Hayes pulled me into his chest and wrapped the blankets around us and hugged me tight.

"I love just laying here with you in my arms" Hayes said

"I love it too" I said

"grace, is it hard?" Hayes asked

"is what hard" I said

"not having your mom and dad and sierra being away a lot" Hayes asked

"I try not to think about it but I got used to it and I have you everyday so that makes it easy" I said

Hayes picked up his phone

"hello. really? that's amazing! bring her over, all the guys are here" Hayes said

Hayes hung up and smiled bright at me.

"she beat it, Maddies cancer free!" he said not talking in his morning voice anymore

" oh my gosh, this is amazing!" I said and hugged him again.

"they won't be here till like 3ish" Hayes said
"I wanna go back to sleep." I said

Hayes pulled me back into that warm hug and I fell asleep listening to his heart beat.

I woke up a little but later to the dog licking my face which I hate and I sang know what it was so I started screaming.

"grace it's just buddy" Hayes said and laughed

"get her off" I said

Hayes pulled the dog off then looked at me

"wake up!" we heard Matt say as he came into our room.

I got up and went past him and down stairs.
