Chapter 59: Stealer
Adeline

*the weekend*

"Youngblood. Sing it, please."

"Now, please."

"Do I look like a personal concert to you?" I ask the little girl, holding onto the handle of her scooter.

"Please? Easton said you'd do things for me if I asked politely." Hana pleads, pushing off again.

The four of us were at the park, Hana and I playing in the empty space while Easton was helping Jae on the swings.

"I'll sing for you when we get home. Promise."

"You better keep it." She pouts, looking behind me. "Who's that?"

Turning to look at where she was pointing, I look at the burgundy hair walk towards us, rolling my eyes at her.

"Where's Easton?"

"Why does it matter to you?" I ask her, trying my best to not seem intimidated.

"He asked to see me, bitch. Now where is he?" Brianna scowls, looking behind me. "Nevermind, I see him."

Why though?

"Didn't she get hit by a bus?" Hana speaks up, pointing at Brianna.

"It's rude to point." I tell her, putting her hand back down.

"I don't have time for you guys. Easton wants me now."

She walks away to him and I turn to watch.

"I could have sworn she got hit by a bus. Easton hates that girl with a passion."

Easton turns around to acknowledge her before squatting to Jae's level, pointing back at me. The little boy runs away with a giant smile on his face, grabbing the pockets of my pants when he gets here.

"Easton told me to tell you that he said 'don't worry, jagiya.' But I'm telling you to not worry and focus on me." Jae laughs, taking my hand in his and walking towards the slides. "Come on, Hana!"

The two of them climb up onto the play set and I sit down, not taking my eyes off the pair behind us.

Easton pushes his hands in his back pockets while speaking calmly, Brianna on the other hand was yelling at him.

She steps closer to him and Easton walks away completely, throwing his arms up in the air.

"If you don't leave me alone! I swear."

"Easton, he left me for some bimbo he met online. It hurts!" Brianna whines, forcing tears to fall.

"Not my problem."

"You know you don't like her! What happened to us?"

"There was never an us, Brianna. You know that." Easton groans, leaning against the ladder.

Why'd they bring this nonsense in front of me?

"So there's a you two, now? You even have nicknames for her. All you ever called me was Brianna."

"That's your name, no? The fuck do you want me to call you? Crazy bitch?"

Brianna blocks Easton path by putting her hands on either side of him, leaning closer to him.

"Will this change your mind?"

I'm done.

"Bambi! Who is this ugly girl?" Jae screams at me, standing over them.
