13. Repurcussions

"Bella honey, wake up." A far off voice called, I opened my eyes to find myself in a large white room.

"Where am I? Edward?" I called confused, instinctively I reached down to my stomach, and it was flat. I gasped.

"Bella Sweetheart don't panic, everything is okay." The voice said again, I looked around to see my Mom standing there, not the sick woman who had practically faded away on her death bed, but my mom, the woman who thought me how to ride a bike and let me cook.

"Mom? Why am I not pregnant? What happened?" I asked panicked.

"Shhh Honey, everything's fine, look he's right over there with his Daddy." Renee said pointing to her right side, I followed her gaze and there stood Edward, his eyes had returned to normal and he was wearing the biggest grin on his face. In his arms was a bundle.

"I don't understand Mom." I said.

"I'm here to give you your closure." She explained. "These two are your future, the future you deserve." She said coming over and taking hold of my hand. She then walked me over to Edward who gently placed the small bundle into my arms. I looked down at it and felt myself choke up, God he was beautiful. I was so wrapped up in his adorable face I almost didn't hear her speak. "Bella, forget those insecurities of the past, I'm watching from above and each time you let those stupid insecurities rule your actions I feel like hitting you with a big stick. Everything will turn out perfect, follow the path you're on and I can't believe I'm going to say this but listen to your father."

We both laughed at this.

"I love you Mom." I said hugging her with one arm.

"I love you too Baby. Now go on, go back to reality and prepare yourself for what's coming next, from what the big guy upstairs is telling me, you're going to have a blast."

"What?" I asked confused, and then everything went black.

I sat up quickly. I looked around and I was back in Edward's room. I ran my hand through my hair and marvelled at how that magical scene had been a dream. Edward who had been in bathroom came back into the room, seeing the surprised expression he walked over to me.

"Are you okay Love?" He asked leaning down to kiss my forehead.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just had the weirdest dream." I said shaking my head.

"About what?"

"My Mom." I said more confused than ever. "How do you feel about finding out the sex of the baby?" I asked.

"Okay I'm lost." He said sitting down on the bed, I then realised he had a shirt and tie on.

"I'll explain later, you go to work." I said waving my hand in front of my face.

"Oh I'm not going to work; I have to go to court."

"What?" I asked sitting up straighter.

"One of my clients got himself in a bit of trouble." He said, I reached forward and straightened his tie it was all crooked.

"How so?"

"DUI and then smashed into a street light." He explained.

"Ouch." I said.

"Yeah but now I have to go and spend the day in court to find out whether or not I have lost a two year contract holder, because company policy states if a client comes under probation their contract is terminated." Edward explained.

"I think it's great that you're going yourself." I said smiling "Most company owners wouldn't go."

"Yeah I agreed to go when I needed to keep my mind off of things, now I'm kind of regretting. I wish I could spend the day in bed ravishing you." He said placing soft kisses on my neck.
