Spring training starts tomorrow. The plus side was we found a place half way between both camps so we could live together. The guys asked if I wanted in on the house again this year but I said no of course.

This was kind of the last day Kaitlyn and I had together even though we'd see each other in the morning and at night. We were trying to figure out how to make this long distance thing work, but we had no clue. But we would somehow.

Not only was today the last day we had to really spend time with each other, but it was also Valentine's Day so it kind of worked out. We had gotten in last night and made the apartment feel more at home for the six weeks we'd be here.

"Okay I hate getting ready across the hall from you how am I going to survive different states?" Kaitlyn shouted from the bathroom. I chuckled as I finished tying my tie.

"I don't know babe but I don't like it either."

"I'll have to like get one of those fatheads and put it on the wall."

"Oh my god please."

"Help me find one and yes."

"Deal." She walked in and put on her heels.

"Great. Well I'm set so, oh my god." I looked up.

"What?"

"You're wearing a tie."

"Yeah?"

"Like, a full suit and tie."

"Yes I am."

"You brought a full suit and tie to spring training. Why? You never dress up."

"Because I wanted to look nice. It's Valentine's Day and we're celebrating that and our anniversary that's next week tonight since it's the last one we have together for a while but we'll be working and can't."

"But you wore a suit and tie. You, you look all handsome and I'm in a boring plain white dress."

"Awe babe no you're not. Nothing you wear is boring. You always look gorgeous." She kept looking at me with a pout on her face. "Wait are you gonna cry? Honey,"

"You put a suit on for me. Who does that?" I put my hands on her waist and pulled us together.

"I do because I love you."

"It's a suit and tie. You hate them."

"A couple hours for you won't kill me."

"I love you."

"I love you more."

We talked most of dinner. Neither one of us even had our phone out. That's what I loved about her, she always gave a hundred percent of her attention to whoever it was.

"You look beautiful." I said as I interrupted her mid sentence.

"Stop don't make me cry."

"I mean I already did just from putting on a tie."

"Shut uuuuup." I reached across the table and took her hand.

"Never." She smiled and hid it as she drank her wine.

"Well anyways. When I was talking with Hailie earlier she had mentioned,"

I heard what she was saying, but I also didn't. I was too focused on just watching her. The way her lips curved at the end as she spoke. How they formed as the words left her mouth. Or how her nose crinkled when she got excited about something in what she was saying, and the sparkle in her eyes.
