*a week later*
Kaitlyns povThings between Christian and I would start to be going well, and then it wouldn't. He'd get mad anytime I told him I didn't want to have sex cause I was working. Or we'd fight over the littlest, stupidest things. We started hanging out less and we stopped carpooling completely. He barely talked with me anymore no matter how hard I tried. I couldn't believe it but, I was considering breaking up with him. We weren't us anymore.
There was a knock and I opened my door.
"Who's ready to partayyyyyyyy!" Jacob said as he held his hands in the air. His hair was tied back and he had sunglasses on.
"I sure as hell am. I just gotta grab my bag."
Him and I were driving to Jennifer and Clays, Cody's parents, house to hang out. We were so close with Cody that even if he wasn't there we'd go hang out with them. Jacob of course knew everything that was happening so he called Jennifer asking if we could come hang when we got here. She of course said yes.
"Let's crank some tunes shall we?" He said pulling away from the hotel.
"That's the only proper way to drive."
"Hell yeah!"

"Kaitlyn!" Jennifer yelled running to hug me as I got out of the car. "How are you sweetie? We miss you."
"Oh I'm, I'm alive. And I miss you too."
"I wish we were going to be around for the All Star Game so I could see you. Another time."
"For sure. Off season definitely."
"It's a must. Jacob!" She walked over and hugged him. An arm slung around my shoulder.
"How are ya champ?" I smiled.
"I'm good Clay. How are you?"
"Same old same old. My boys raking this year that's all that matters. No offense against your boyfriend or anything." My smile faded. At this point I didn't even know what we were.
"Let's hit the pool before it's too late!" Jacob said, chasing my thoughts away. We went inside and changed. Everyone was outside already when I was done.
"Holy shit."
I turned around to see Jacob staring at me.
"Yes?"
"Nothing you just, wow."
"You've never seen me in a swimsuit before, have you?"
"No I have not. We work in Wisconsin, IT'S COLD. I like your tattoo by the way." I smiled and laughed.
"Close your mouth before you catch a fly Nottingham."
"Shut up. You look good. Like really good." I felt something I hadn't felt in a while. I didn't know what, but I did. I think I liked it too.
"Well remember? I did tennis and softball. I had to stay in shape. And even after it ended I did. I just got in the habit of it. When I slack off I get mad at myself."
"Well, the hard work paid off I'll tell you that."
"Thank you." If only Christian saw that with my job.
"You're welcome."
"If you don't stop looking at me like that I'm gonna push you in the pool."
"She pushed Cody in the pool once I'd look out." Jennifer said.
"I'd like to see her try."
"Oh yeah Nottingham?"
"Yeah."
