*a week later*
Kaitlyns pov

It's been a weird week. First of all, I miss baseball. Second of all, I miss having someone to be around. A lot. Third, a couple days ago my uncle was killed in a car crash because of a drunk driver. So I haven't really left bed. I only leave it to move to the couch or the kitchen. Even then is a stretch. Cody's the only one who I've seen all week. He stayed for a few days just so I wasn't alone while I processed everything and planned the funeral and had it. He never left my side during it. My dad didn't care much that his brother died, so everything fell to me.

I also told Hailie everything was done and she got a flight for two weeks from now. She was going to be here when Cody has his Friendsgiving so I was going to bring her with. I was excited to have her around. I missed her already and I know she did too.

I kept bailing on my friends I made out here during college. Ashlyn, my old roommate, kept trying to get me out of the apartment. I always said I was busy. But I just didn't want to leave.

Ashlyn💋: Get your ass off that couch and let's do something. Let's go shopping let's get food idc you need to get out and I miss you!
Me: I'm decorating the rest of my apartment today though. Different day?

I lied. I finished that stuff days ago.

Ashlyn💋: I'm busy until next Tuesday so we could do something then. Wednesday night a bunch of us are getting together at a bar, you should come to that too
Me: Fine I will.
Ashlyn💋: YES! Everyone will be so excited to see you!! Send me your addy and I'll come get you Tuesday for shopping
Me: Alright I will. See you later

I hated her sometimes but she always got me out of my shell. And I did miss my college buddies so it would be nice to see them.

I pulled myself off the couch and forced myself to workout. I had enough off days. After I just cleaned up a little and threw the rest of my boxes away. Of course because I was moving now I was in the mood to do something. I knew no one here and the ones I texted said they were busy. So for about the millionth time I went to Instagram.

"Woah Christian posted on his story that's a shocker."

"Get to spend a whole week with my favorite guy"

It was a picture of Cooper sitting in his car. "Maybe we could do something." I thought to myself.

I probably sat there in our texts for five minutes debating whether to text him or not. He said to reach out when I was ready, and I was.

Me: Hey, no your eyes aren't fooling you, it's me. Saw your insta story and thought about you. If you want you could come over and we could do something. Or I could drive up or we could meet halfway. Get a coffee or whatever. Cooper can come too of course lol. Just let me know whenever.

That was only slightly nerve wracking. I wasn't expecting him to answer but still, why not?

"Holy shit."

Christian: Yeah I'm down for that. I'm already close enough to you so I'll just head over. Just send me an address so I know where I'm going
Me: *address* Just text me when you get here, they're working on the buzzer system today so I have to come down and let you in
Christian: Okay. See you soon :)
Me: See you soon :)

"Please let this go well."

~

Christian: Hey I'm here
Me: Alright

I put my flip flops on and went downstairs. When I got down there Cooper was very excited. I laughed as I opened the door and knelt down.

"Hey buddy, someone's excited." He gave me a kiss and I stood up and hugged Christian. There was that feeling again.
