Chapter 37

Coreys pov

I woke up to a cold bed, without her by my side. I checked her room and she wasn't there. She left me and I knew it. Cody told her and it freaked her out. So she lied. I headed downstairs and then I heard her voice. And there she stood, in the kitchen making breakfast. Cody sat at the island.

"So you're walking the carpet with him?"

"Yeah. I redid his whole outfit last night. He cannot dress himself for these events I swear."

I walked behind her and wrapped my arms around her.

"Yeah it's cause you left."

"Even before I came along you couldn't."

"Well, it is me we're talking about." She handed me a plate.

We all laughed, but it was true.

"Sit, pancakes are done soon."

"So how did we all sleep?" Cody says as I sit next to him.

"Amazing." Kaitlyn and I said at the same time.

"Well I didn't hear anything coming from your room last night so,"

"SHUT UP CODY!" Kaitlyn said as she threw a pancake at him. He then picked it up and ate it as he shrugged his shoulders.

"Well I don't know I just thought maybe y'all would,"

"CODY STOP TALKING." I yelled as I shoved his pancake farther into his mouth. Kaitlyn stood at the stove shaking her head.

"Sometimes you're insane did you know that Cody?" She asked reaching over and putting pancakes on my plate.

"Yes I do. But what would you do without me?"

"Honestly I don't know."

"Oh no hey now don't get soft and sappy before the game you two." I said as I pointed my fork at them. Kaitlyn rolls her eyes at me as she turns around.

"Sure thing Corey."

We eat breakfast and then all start getting ready.

"Kaitlyn you can shower before me so your hair can dry in time." I shout across the hall.

"Awe thanks hun." She says leaning against my doorway with her stuff.

"Well yeah I know how your hair takes forever to dry so I figured you could use my shower first." She just stands there and smiles at me. "What?" She walks over and wraps her arms around my neck and rests her head on my shoulder. I wrap mine around her and hug her tight. Today was going to be hard for her, she just wanted a hug.

"DO I NEED TO PUT EARPLUGS IN?" Cody shouts down the hall.

"I'm gonna kill him Corey."

"Let him be happy with this." She lifts her head and gives me a glare. "I know, I know. I'll talk to him later."

"Thank you." She gives me a kiss on the cheek and walks out to go shower. I walk into Cody's room.
