*a week later, opening day*
Kaitlyns povI was excited for today. Sold out crowd at the Ravine, all my best friends in the starting lineup, Hailie in the crowd watching. It was gonna be perfect. Well, almost perfect. Christian wasn't here.
Hailie and I sat in my office. I got my stuff done relatively quick, surprisingly. All I needed was interviews later on.
Tree💙: I don't like you not interviewing me :(
Me: Awe babe
Tree💙: She's too serious. Everyone keeps cracking jokes and joking around and we can't even get a smile out of her. It's killing the vibe
Me: Well you said she hasn't had much tv exposure right? She might just be nervous for today. I was
Tree💙: You at least smiled and joked with us
Me: Cause you were nice to me and I wanted you to like me :p
Tree💙: Well thank god it worked cause now I'm in your pants
Me: CHRISTIAN YELICH
Tree💙: 😏
Me: 🙄 maybe just try being nicer to her? She's probably intimidated by you guys too. I was at first, but I soon learned y'all are just a bunch of teddy bears at heart
Tree💙: I thought I was your tree 🥺
Me: You're always my tree, but you're a teddy bear sometimes too. To put both together you're like a grizzly bear, strong like a tree and would tear someone apart if need be yet soft and cuddly like a teddy bear
Tree💙: Did you just, I love you
Me: I love you too :)
Tree💙: Alright well I should probably go finish getting ready. I'll call you later tonight. Good luck today! I love you
Me: You too babe. I love you"Why are you smiling so much?" Hailie asked.
"I'm texting Christian."
"Aweeeee."
"Yeah."
I started playing with my ring. I missed him.

Christians pov
It was day one and I already hated Kaitlyn not being here. It wasn't the same being interviewed by Anna. Not to mention Jacob was already being a little bitch about everything. So you don't sleep boohoo you aren't the one carrying the baby. Maybe you shouldn't of cheated in the first place. Oh like I'm one to talk. At least I didn't get her pregnant.
"Think I got time to take a nap." Jacob said rubbing his face as he yawned. I rolled my eyes.
"Dude if you complain one more time about being tired. We're all tired man."
"You're the like the only one here without a kid man shut up dude. You don't know what it's like."
"The kid isn't even here yet man that's a whole other thing you're gonna deal with. So she isn't sleeping she's the one carrying the baby! What's gonna happen when the baby's here then? Neither of you are gonna be sleeping then either."
"Man shut up you don't have a kid."
"Yeah well at least I," I shut up and just shook my head. It wasn't my place. I shuffled through my bag looking for the envelope. I put it here for emergencies and it was day one and I already needed it. I found it and grabbed my phone and got up.
"You gonna finish your sentence this time Yelich or leave it unanswered like last time?"
I stopped and looked at him. I looked around at everybody else staring at us. I scoffed.
"At least I didn't get the girl pregnant." I walked out not caring if I just confused everyone. I went to the tunnels and found one without anybody there and sat down.
"If Jacob pisses you off"
"Take a deep breath, everything's okay." I did. "If you were the bigger person and walked away, I'm proud of you. If you weren't, I'm still proud of you. He was way more of an ass than you were so whatever you did I'm sure he deserved it. And if you didn't do anything, good job! But, say the word and Hailie and I are on a plane to come beat his ass. But just try to brush this off babe. It was probably stupid and childish, I mean he is. Okay so are we but still. I know this is hard being away from each other and things between you guys aren't anywhere near normal but please just try to get along. I don't know if or when you're opening this, but here's some things to keep in mind in case (you do) you need a pick me up :)
June- Dodgers come to Miller Park
July- All Star game/break
August- Brewers come to Dodgers Stadium
October- Postseason
Everything's gonna be okay babe, I promise. I'll see you soon. I love you. ~ Kaitlyn"
