*a week later*
Jacobs pov

This was it. The last game of the season. Kaitlyns last game with the Brewers. I didn't want it to be over.

The past week has been, emotional. Everyday someone brought Kait a present, a card, flowers, anything. Every night once we were at the hotel she came over to my room or I went to hers. Almost everyday, someone was crying. None of us wanted her to go.

"Hey." I said as I knocked on her door.

"Don't say anything I've been on the verge of tears all morning long." She said not looking up from her laptop.

"I know babe." I sat in a chair and just watched her. Neither of us said anything. Slowly, her office became filled with everyone. No one said a thing. We all just sat there and watched her. Even Christian joined us. She eventually looked up and quickly shut her eyes.

"You guys are seriously about to make me cry and you've done nothing today."

"Most of us are already there so join us." Moose said.

"But I don't want to right now. We all have work. So go, you all have to get ready."

"As long as you come sit with us during bp. The whole time." Yaz asked.

"Absolutely." She said. Everyone got up and filed out to get ready. Well, everyone but me. "You have to go too." She said.

"I will. I'm just admiring my girlfriend." She smiled.

We both got up and hugged each other. We had been doing that a lot this week. We'd stop and just hug each other.

"I'll see you out there okay?" She said. She was holding back tears, I heard it in her voice.

"Okay. I love you Kait."

"I love you too Notty."

I let go of her and walked out. I wiped away the tear that started to fall.

"C'mere man." Ryan said as I walked to my locker. I turned around and hugged him. "I don't know what's going to happen during this, but I just wanted to thank you for making her happy." He said. Christian stood at his locker, overhearing us and bowed his head. I held back my tears.

"You're welcome. I'm glad I could for a little bit."

Kaitlyns pov

I stood on the field with the guys for bp. Normally I work in my office after I get my interviews, but the least I could do for them today was not. I didn't have much to do anyways.

Everyone was joking around and having fun. They hung around me all the time when they weren't in the cage. Christian and I even made small talk a few times, we laughed and everything. And I felt that thing again from last week.

This whole week guys were bringing me flowers and cards and tiny gifts. Some were even from their kids. Jacob was glue to my side when he could be. It's like he didn't care anymore. We knew the little time we had left and he didn't want that to go to waste.

Hailie😙: Pretty sure I know the answer already, but you want all this stuff in your office shipped out to LA right?
Me: Yes please! That's all going in my new office
Hailie😙: Thats what I thought too, just double checking!

After I told Hailie I was leaving she offered to pack and send everything to me once I was there. This whole week while we've been gone she's been packing all my stuff. All she has to do is write my address on it and ship it once I find a place. She insisted on doing it for me no matter how many times I told her it was fine. I didn't deserve her at all.
