*the next day*
Kaitlyns povI stood in my closet staring at all my clothes. I had no idea what to wear. I didn't want to over or underdress. I also didn't want to dress too sexy. But, we had slept together before so it's not like I needed to cover everything up.
I settled on a short black off the shoulder dress with black heels. Simple but elegant. I straightened my hair and went with a neutral makeup look.
I was about to put my heels on when my door buzzed. He was here. I let him up and put my shoes on. He knocked and I took a deep breath. He stood there in a dark blue button up and leather jacket. I forgot how good he looked in leather. He handed me a bouquet of roses.
"These are for you." I took them and he followed me in.
"I love them."
"I'm glad. You look pretty." He said.
"Thank you, you look good too."
"Thank you." I set the vase on the island.
"Well I'm all set so we can go whenever."
"Great."
He took my hand and we left. I had no idea where he was taking us but I didn't care, it was with him.
The most I knew is that we were somewhere in Manhattan Beach. We walked in the restaurant and the host looked up.
"Hey man! Your tables all set in the back."
"Cool thanks David."
We walked through the restaurant to get to a back room where a few tables were and the lights were more dim. He pulled my chair out for me and pushed it in and sat down.
I started looking at the menu as a waiter walked in and set two beers down. How did they know? Did he tell them?
"Alex hows college?" Christian said. My head snapped up.
"Killing me but I'm almost there."
"Last year right?"
"Yup."
"You got it man I believe in you."
"Hell yeah I do. Holler when you're set." He walked back out and I just stared at Christian. He looked up and chuckled.
"This is where Cam and I meet when we get together. Halfway for both of us. I know everybody here and they know me."
"Wow." I went back to looking at the menu. I had no clue what I wanted. "I don't know what I want."
"You'd like the chicken parmesan, it's really good."
"I'll take your word for it."
He nodded his head and Alex walked back in.
"I'm gonna do the Marsala this time."
"Alright."
"I'll have the chicken parmesan."
"That's so good, I'll put that in for you guys."
Christian reached over and took my hand.
"How you been lately?"
"Pretty good. Pretty fantastic now since you're sitting across from me."
"I'd have to say the same." His eyes still had that sparkle I saw the first time we met. His smile still had that warmth that filled my heart. And from what I could tell he still had that kind heart of his. And I hoped to god he felt the spark I still did. "So I just wanna let you know that whatever pace you wanna go with this we will. It's all your call."
