*mid april*
Kaitlyns povThe past three weeks have been, odd. We honestly weren't the greatest. We were in third, about to drop to fourth if we lost today. The Brewers on the other hand, my god were they soaring. They were in first three games ahead and had a six day win streak going. Christian on the other hand had a twelve day hit streak going, and led the league in home runs with twenty.
Him and I had been doing really well, surprisingly. Not that we were surprised it was working, but that it was going so well being so far apart. It was really hard being away from each other but with us talking any minute we could made it easier.
I was walking down the hall, about to text Christian when Will appeared at my side.
"Hey Kaitlyn can I talk to you a second?"
"Yeah of course Will what's up?"
"Uh can we go in your office?"
"Sure."
We walked down the hall into my office and he shut the door behind us.
"Everything okay?"
"Hopefully. I need to ask you something."
"Anything, what's up?"
"Well, I know how you and Hailie are super close."
"Yeah we're basically sisters."
"Yeah. And I know how she doesn't have a good relationship with her family."
"Yeah she'd live with me sometimes just to get away. It wasn't much better but it still was."
"Yeah exactly, so y'all are like related in a way."
"Yeah, what's going on is she okay? Are you guys okay?"
"Yes yeah everything's fine. Everything's perfect if I'm being honest."
"Okay, then what's up?"
"Well, you can't tell anyone."
"I won't. She's not pregnant is she? Cause I'll,"
"NO GOD NO."
"Thank god." We both laughed.
"It kind of relates to that though. Uh okay, so I wanted to ask you if I could marry Hailie."
"YOU WHAT?" I said as my eyes filled with tears.
"I know it's really soon and sudden but, we really hit it off and we really love each other. We talk about it all the time if I'm being honest. We both think it's right. We've literally talked about where we'd get married. But I didn't want to do anything without getting permission first."
"From me?"
"Yes, from you."
"But why me?"
"Who else would I ask? I mean she never stops talking about you. Hell we never stop talking about you. She even talks about how in the wedding you're gonna be the maid of honor because she trusts you the most. And because it's only fair since y'all are so close and have known each other forever. So that's how I knew I had to ask you to marry her. You know her best anyways."
"Well of course my answer is yes."
"Wait really?"
"I've never seen her so happy Will. She never shuts up about you if I'm being honest. I mean you understand her and accept her for who she is. That's all she's ever wanted."
"Oh my god seriously?"
"A thousand percent. You're gonna make a great husband to my sister." He pulled me into a hug just as tears filled his eyes.
"She's just, she gets me you know? And I get her. It's like we were made for each other. She's the only one I want to call my wife. She's perfect. She's my everything and I always want her to be."
"Awe Will, that's so sweet."
"Thank you Kaitlyn, none of this would've happened without you."
"You're welcome Will."
He left and I wiped my eyes. My two best friends were getting engaged.
-
I walked through the door and threw my stuff down and called Christian.
"Hey how,"
"WILL'S ASKING HAILIE TO MARRY HIM!"
"WHAT?"
"WILL ASKED ME IF HE CAN MARRY HAILIE. I SAID YES. WE CRIED. TWO OF MY BEST FRIENDS ARE GETTING MARRIED AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE BECAUSE I KNOW HAILIES GONNA SAY YES."
"AWE THAT'S AMAZING!" I propped my phone up while I changed.
"Will said they talk about it all the time. Like where they wanna get married, how I'll be the maid of honor. Everything. You'll be my plus one of course."
"I'd hope so." I laid down in bed.
"Do you ever think about that with us? I mean I know it's probably too,"
"I do." I looked at him, he had a big smile on his face.
"You do?"
"All the damn time."
"Really?"
"Since the day we met baby girl. There's never been a doubt in my mind about that. Even with the shit we've been through and what I put you through, there was never a time where at the end of the day you weren't the one I wanted."
"Well then that makes two of us."
"I was serious about changing that ring out for a better one. It's going to happen."
"Well I can't wait for that."
"Neither can I babe."
I sat there and just smiled at him. He wanted me as his wife.

Christians pov
Kaitlyn and I had to of been talking to each other for at least an hour.
"Alright go sleep babe. I'll talk to you tomorrow."
"Okay honey. I love you."
"I love you too sweetie."
I set my phone down and covered my face.
"Holy shit."
I stood up and walked to my dresser. I opened the top drawer and took out the small box and opened it. It was perfect. Any time I looked at it I saw her. I could see how her face would light up, how happy she would get. The tears glistening in her eyes. Her saying yes.
"Yeah, I think about marrying you all the damn time baby. You're definitely gonna be my wife."
