~*authors note* hi friends! You got a couple chapters tonight! I graduated from high school today (I was supposed to in June but because of corona it got pushed back) and I wanted to celebrate! Hope you're enjoying everything! 💙~

*week and a half later*
Kaitlyns pov

The Yankees and Red Sox went to game seven, no surprise there. It was nice having a few off days and spending time with the family, even if Christian did have to go in for workouts on some days. The Yankees ended up winning the series. We flew to New York yesterday and today was game one.

Now that the whole team knew Christian and I were together again the entire dynamic had changed. They were even more happier and excited and energetic. It was kind of weird?

I was sitting in my office watching Yankee highlights to learn more when someone knocked.

"Yeah what's up?"

"Not even gonna say hi wow." I looked up.

"Giancarlo!"

"Hey kid! How are you?" He said as we hugged.

"I'm fantastic how are you?"

"Pretty good myself."

"Just coming to say hi or?"

"Yeah yeah. I mean you're back with your guys and in the World Series. Big time for you."

"Yeah definitely. It's been a crazy year but you know it's been really fun and I'm just excited to see what happens."

"You're scared aren't you?"

"Don't tell the guys but like all hell." We both laughed.

"Yeah well I can say the same for us. You guys are insane. You like came out of nowhere the past few years it seems like."

"Hey what can I say? We're good."

"Yeah well it helps having a guy like Yeli play for you guys. He's insane."

"I know right? He won't believe us when we tell him how good he is."

"Yeah that's him. He rarely gives himself credit."

"I know and it breaks my heart sometimes. Like if he could see himself like how I saw him he wouldn't question anything again."

"Yeah me too. Well hey may the best of us win since we're both scared of each other." We both laughed.

"I second that."

Yankee stadium was massive. The fans were, well, kind of crazy. But the Brewers fans, despite being way out numbered, they still showed up. And they showed up loud.

The entire game had gone back and fourth. So much in fact we were about to go into the eleventh inning tied at five. Who did we have coming up? Thames, Cain and Christian.

"One of y'all get on base and then another one of y'all hit it out of here so then we can strike out the side and go sleep cause I'm tired." I muttered under my breath.

"Yeah or do you wanna go make out with Christian."

I snapped my head to the right and saw Gavin, Will and Hailie sitting there.

"HAILIE! Jesus you scared me saying that."

"That was the point."

"Why are you guys here?"

"You. Well and the guys."

"Awe really?"

"Yeah. I mean just cause you don't work with us anymore doesn't mean you aren't our little sister still. We still wanna support you. And besides, I'm from Wisconsin I gotta support home." Gavin said.

"That, and I'm dating your best friend so it's a given now. We're following you guys to Milwaukee too. And if you come back to the Bronx we'll be here too. We're doing this together." Will said.

"Awe. Thanks you guys."

"Of course. I'm just surprised it took you so long to notice us." Hailie said as I started playing with my ring. Whenever I get bored or nervous I just touch it and feel better.

"Well hello I'm in the World Series."

"Alright fine fair." There was a crack and our heads snapped back to the game.

"HELL YEAH!"

We missed Thames and Cain getting on base. And almost missed Christian hitting a home run.

"I love Cody but, if Christian doesn't win this year that's just flat out wrong." Gavin said.

"Yeah, I know." I let out a deep breath as Christian crossed home.

We miraculously struck out the side and won. That was exhilarating.

"I'm so tired." I said as I set my bag on the floor and threw myself on the bed.

"You and me both babe." Christian said sitting down next to me. He reached behind my neck and took off my necklace and my ring and earrings and set them on the dresser and took off my heels. "Up." I took off my pants while he took off my shirt and bra and put a hoodie over me. "Okay go." I went to the bathroom and stood there. He came in and took a makeup wipe and took off my makeup. "There's my even more beautiful baby girl." I smiled as he kissed my forehead. He called me that every night when I took my makeup off and it still made me feel special every time. He hand me my toothbrush. We brushed our teeth and then I laid back down as he put my clothes back in my suitcase.

He started doing this a lot at away games and even at home. Even if he was exhausted he'd get me ready for bed so I wouldn't have to do anything. He came over and started massaging my shoulders.

"Thank you, again."

"Always baby. You have a giant knot in your shoulder by the way."

"Yeah I know."

"Well that'll be gone soon."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah. In Hawaii we're gonna have a whole day of just us. We'll have a spa day and get couples massages and then get all fancy and go to dinner and then go for a walk along the beach at sunset."

"That sounds amazing I can't wait for it."

"Well good I'm glad. You deserve it."

"You do too."

I laid there like that for a while while he just massaged my back. He didn't have to do any of this but he did. He always treated me like a princess. He put me to bed and kissed my forehead. He got the light and got in next to me.

"I love you my little koala bear."

"I love you more my big tree."
