*three days later*
Jacobs povAfter Monday's game I sat with Kaitlyn for a bit while she vented to me about everything. We talked about a lot of stuff. We also planned on hanging out on the off day, today, in Boston. I told her not to plan anything and that I had it all taken care of. And I did. Kaitlyn very energetically knocked on my door.
"Helllllllloooooooo!" I said opening the door.
"HI! Are you ready?"
"I'm very ready are you ready?"
"I am ready. I'm excited to see what you have planned for us."
"What planned?" Christian said appearing behind her.
She had pulled me aside Tuesday before the game and told me they had talked and things were better. It seemed it too, from what I saw at least.
"Jacob planned touristy things for us to do today in Boston."
"Oh that's cool. I was gonna see if you wanted to do something but go do that."
"Oh I had no idea man I'm sorry."
"Don't sweat it, go hang out."
"Are you sure?" Kaitlyn asked him.
"Positive. I'll hang with Ryan or something. Go spend the day with Jacob. Could I steal her for dinner though?"
"Yeah absolutely." I said.
"Perfect, you can tell me about it all then."
"Okay."
"Have fun, see you later." He leaned down and kissed her and walked away.
"You could've went with him. I would've been okay."
"But you planned a whole day for us. That wouldn't have been right. Friends should come first."
"But he,"
"I don't care who he is or what he is. Friends come first."
"Awe you're sweet. Let's go!"
We started off with a bus ride around town looking at a bunch of historic stuff. I knew she loved history and the arts, so we had a bunch of that stuff. We toured Paul Reveres house on the East end of Boston and walked around the harbor for a bit. That's where we found lunch. After we went back to the West side and walked around the Museum of Fine Arts. She fell in love with everything she saw. She was speechless. Honestly I was too. I loved watching her be so fascinated with everything. Her smile brought a smile to my face.
"Thank you for today Jacob." She said as we walked down the hall swaying our hands as we did. We did that a lot today. Hold hands. You could've mistaken us as a couple honestly.
"You're welcome. It was fun watching you get all excited about everything. I knew you loved history and art so I figured it would be perfect. I hope it was at least."
"It was. I had a really good time."
"Well, I'm glad."
"I thought that was you two I heard out here. How was your day?" Christian said opening his door.
"I loved it. It was so fun."
"Well I can't wait to hear about it over dinner."
"What time?"
"I'll come get you in an hour?"
"Sounds good!"
"Great." He closed his door.
"Thank you again Jacob. I really did have a great time."
"Of course, always. Have a good night Kaitlyn."
