"Thought you were getting your sister tonight."
I chuckled. "I was..."
"What happened?" There was a whistle behind me. "What was that?"
I stayed silent and continued down the street. "Violet!" I closed my eyes as Jordan ran up to get in front of me. "Oh you have ear pods in..."
"If it has anything to do with the Season leave me out of it."
He opened his mouth and rethought what he was going to say. "Uh... I see that the baby isn't with you... wanna hang out?"
I deadpanned him. "No."
He sighed. "C'mon... coffee or something?"
I rolled my eyes and moved past him. "Who is that?"
"Violet, wait. I just..."
I turned. "Not interested, find someone else."
He sighed. "Always so cold, I see why you're called the Ice Princess."
I shrugged as I headed for the seamstress. "I'll take it." I left him there as I went in. "Gale?"
"Violet who was that?"
"Chill out, real quick."
"Violet! You are looking well, how can I help you?"
I boosted to the counter. "I am required to attend some fancy banquet this weekend and there is this nickname that I would love to bring to life."
She smirked. "Which one?"
I smiled. "Ice Princess. It's just so spot on, I simply must play the part."
"Is that the RedMountain pack event? Violet, they are bad news..."
I rolled my eyes as I followed her to the back. "Let's see..."
"Violet, I'm serious."
I let her search her stock and backed into the front. "I'm being coerced. Don't make me hang up."
He growled. "They are notorious fo-"
"I'm aware, but I have to go. Stop messing up my fun."
"Excuse me dear?"
I smiled. "Nothing! Now..." I searched in a separate part. "Now this is nice..."
She popped her head up. "Too hot for the weather."
I shrugged. "I'm always cold, hence..." I gestured to my jacket and pants. "Looks very not interested in the Season's activities as well. I like it."
She held it up to me. "Full length was never your forte..."
I smirked. "Fancy is not my fancy, shorten it and then leggings and boots will do just fine. I'm there to show my face for an hour or so, not actually mingle."
She chuckled. "You? Of course not. I do look forward to seeing the boy who sweeps you off your feet."
I rolled my eyes. "That'll never happen."
"I disagree." He was clearly offended.
"Hmmm... what will you pair with it."
I smirked. "I'll be seeing Linda for that. How much?"
"Nothing for you, you know that."
I scowled. "I'll send money anyway and you know that."
She sighed. "$200 for everything."
