"We go home now?"

I watched amused as she reached up for me to carry her.  "Aren't you a little too old to be carried?"

She puffed her cheeks.  "I not three yet."

I chuckled.  "Really?  Are you positive about that?"

She squinted.  "Um..."

"Are you sure..."

She brightened.  "Yes!"  I scooped her up and threw her in the air, making her laugh.  "Noooo, I will fall!"

I raised my eyebrows and heaved her to my brother.  "You should know by now, Ladybug..."

He caught her and spun to toss her back.  "We don't fall..."

She laughed.  "Help me, ZeeZee!"

He caught her as she was going back.  "Gotcha..."

She clung to his neck.  "You saved me!"

He chuckled.  "Of course, I did."

She giggled.  "Again!  Again!"

He gaped.  "Then, why did I save you?"

She smirked.  "Because I a princess.  Now you have to save me from the dragons!"

He smiled at her softly.  "I'll think about it, but I need to speak with your sister first."

She tilted her head and her shoulders relaxed back and the young twinkle in her eyes dimmed, being replaced with a much older shine.  "You can't let how you feel hurt the pack, ZeeZee..."

His eyes widened.  "I know... I just..."

She tilted her head.  "We'll be okay, our pack is strong."

I sighed as he looked at me in bewilderment.  "Ladybug... I'm sure he is trying to convince me about coming to your party."

She blinked and beamed.  "Yay!"

I took her from him.  "Go and beat up Zay for me will you?"

She nodded.  "I'll get him."

I watched as she ran to jump on his back and then turned to Ezekiel.  "What was that?"

I smiled softly.  "Her old soul... mom says I used to be the same..."

He looked at her in wonder.  "She knows?"

I shrugged.  "She's with me full time now, so I'm sure she knows a bit."

He looked me over, concerned.  "Are you handling that okay?  Do you guys need anything?"

I shook my head.  "She's happier to say the least, but we are fine."

He combed through my hair.  "What ar-"

"That's another dragon, ZeeZee!"

He threw her a surprised look.  "That game is over!"

She giggled.  "Not til I say!"

Though he scowled at her, I felt his amusement.  "No... you have enough for me to get already."

She threw her hands up dramatically.  "Fine..."

I loved watching them, it made me feel light and warm.  He turned back to me.  "I don't like this..."

I put my hands over his.  "I know, but it's not about us."

He lowered his gaze.  "Just... stay safe.  I don't want anything to happen to you or Zoey."

I smiled softly.  "That's what we're doing... keeping us all safe."
