"Leaving so soon? You still haven't danced with me." Ezekiel pulled me closer as a brunette went to touch his shoulder. "She didn't even dance with you, such a boring girl."
He smiled down at me. "No, she's not. We hope you have a wonderful night."
I looked up at him curiously. "You like dancing?" He shook his head. "I would have danced with you, if you wanted."
He tugged my hair. "Not here."
I nodded and looked at the exit. "She doesn't even talk. What kind of man wants someone like that?"
I watched Ezekiel's eyes shift as he wasn't appreciating her down talking me. I touched his cheek. "Others only have bad things to say about people they don't understand."
He relaxed. "Ready?"
"More than."
She blocked our way. "Why not just come home with me tonight?"
I poked his side, smirking. "She wants to see to your needs. Better take her up on the offer or you'll be lonely."
He caught my hands, displeased. "Stop that." He turned to her. "No, now get out of our way."
She stepped up to him. "Or what?"
He frowned as she leaned towards him. "Get away from me." He stepped back taking me with him. I playfully tugged at my hands and he chuckled. "Stop saying dirty things with those and you can have them back."
He pulled me past the girl and outside, releasing my hands. "She was ready and willing... you're missing out."
He rolled his eyes, smiling and grabbed them again. "No." I tilted my head and he searched my face. "I'm perfectly happy with you." I rolled my eyes and pursed my lips, blinking when he kissed them. "We have thirty extra minutes. Trust me?"
I smirked and shook my head, making him chuckle. "Well that's too bad, this way, Princess."
I let him usher me into the car and looked at him curiously as we got outside of the pack's borders. My heart started to race. "Where are you taking me?"
He smiled and laced his fingers through mine. "Relax. I won't hurt you."
I looked back terrified as I felt my connection with my family fading. "We can't go this far. The-"
He pulled over and stroked my hair. "Shhh... it's okay we'll go back, please calm down."
I searched his face, feeling his concern. "I can't feel them... if they leave her... she won't..."
He smoothed my hair. "I didn't know... I'm sorry." I nodded and he sat back and did a u-turn.
I felt more at ease as I could feel her and looked at my hands. "I'm sorry."
"Would they really? Leave her, I mean."
I looked at him sadly. "If I'm supposed to there soon and she is sleeping, they have. They suck as parents."
I felt his anger. "She's not even three, they are on another pack's turf."
I closed my eyes. "I know..."
He stroked my face. "I'll keep this in mind... I should have asked first." I leaned into his hand as it comforted me. "I see why they think she is yours and why she is so possessive of you."
I sighed. "I'd hate to think this is why their pack was so easily attacked, but..."
He laced his hand into mine. "Could be why you are the Alpha, even so young."
