I smiled as I saw her take the stage and her attire for the evening.  She looked like a dark angel; her dress was black and gray, shorter in the front than the back, it hugged her curves before flowing gracefully once it got past her waist and elbows, thigh high boots displayed just how long her legs actually were considering how short she was.  Her hair was in a long braid and stood out against the dark clothing.

I stood near the stage watching her, smile widening as I saw she had on the necklace and bracelet I'd given her.  It made my heart swell, but I also noticed how others would eye her as she took the stage.  That's when I spotted Carlos going backstage and clenched my jaw.

I slowed my anger to feel her.  She was annoyed at first as she started to get sick.  When I felt her temper flare I went to see what was going on.  "I'm sorry, but you need to to return to the party."

I was partially relieved when I heard her brother's voice.  "I just would like to chat."

"My answer remains the same.  We have a job to do and you are interrupting."

There was shifting and I stepped into view as she went into a deadly calm.  It was quick as he somehow got past her brother and grabbed for her only for his arm to be twisted and her knife at his crotch.  "Let me make something very clear..."  I was frozen by the venom laced in her voice as everything fell silent.  "Try to touch me again and you'll be missing a few parts."

I could see him trembling as he nodded and she let him go, smiling as he fell to his knees.  I missed where the fuck she put her blade as he soiled himself and she stepped back unfazed.  "Now, if you'll excuse me, I seem to be next up."

I blinked at how quickly she went from murderous to business like as though nothing happened and strode back unto the stage.  Xavier held the same deadly smile his twin had just seconds before.  "Sorry, we don't clean a mess that isn't ours, you really should take care of that."

I was breathless, even at her deadliest she was gorgeous.  Carlos stood slowly, wide eyed when he saw me, watching my mate on stage.  "She..."

I smiled at him.  "Beautiful, isn't she?"

He gaped.  "You can't be serious."

I chuckled as she finished and tilted her head when she saw me.  "Seems you came anyway."  All I could was nod as I reached for her, she didn't pull away, but leaned into my ear.  "Get your hormones in check or you may suffer the same fate."

I smirked.  "Where do you hide those things anyway?"

She giggled.  "If I told you, I'd have to kill you."

I dropped my head to her shoulder.  "Mmmm... I'll figure it out."

She shrugged.  "Still have to die either way."  Her breath hitched as I kissed it.  "I have a job to do, Mr. Valencia, please see your way back to the crowd."

I sighed, but let her go, pouting.  "So... still not my date."

She smirked.  "Nope.  You'll make it a point to find me though, I'm sure."

I smiled, she wouldn't agree to be my date, but expected me by her side regardless.  "Of course..."

I felt Ezekiel's arousal as I threatened the Alpha of this pack.  He... may have a problem...  My wolf snickered in response as we finished our part and joined the party.  Xavier smirked as we came out.  "Why not just admit he's your boyfriend already and ge-"

I quickly elbowed him and gave Ezekiel a cool gaze, taking in his all black suit and grey tie.  I signed.  "I'm beginning to wonder, who could possibly be telling you the actual color."
