Ezekiel had taken to playing with my fingers as the guests arrived. I rolled my eyes and slapped his hands away for the umpteenth time since I started to greet them. "This is completely inappropriate, can you go join them?"
He smirked. "I'll go in with you, may even hold your hand for emphasis."
I sighed. "Stop touching me, I'm sure they get the point by now."
He smiled. "We have matched at every event since RedMountain."
I facepalmed. "I'm not sure if the is territorial, your ego, or insecurity anymore."
He pouted. "Does it really bother you that much?"
I smiled as another pair entered. "Welcome, Xavier will show you the way."
A few things I've noticed since starting; all of the Alphas were male, they brought a female companion who was good looking yet they were not interested in, the females all, but gawked at my mate, men's eyes lingered on me for longer than necessary, Ezekiel had earned himself a few hateful glares due to his shenanigans, and each and everyone of them had an arrogant air about them that I looked forward to smashing.
I could feel others looming outside our borders and my pack was on high alert. "It would be a shame to kill them all..."
Ezekiel went back to his play. "What do you mean?"
"Some of them brought some uninvited guests and they are waiting beyond the territory."
His hand froze. "What?"
I looked at him curiously. "You seem surprised."
He frowned. "You invited them here and it looks like they are going to attack. What aren't you?"
I glanced around, sensing. "They have been aiming for us since we started, Ezekiel. We are fully capable of handling it."
He tightened his hold. "We-"
"Will do nothing... not with the treaty in place."
He clenched his jaw. "You expected this."
I searched his face. "And we were not disappointed."
He pulled me away from door into a separate room. "What are you planning, Violet?"
I ran my fingers down his arms. "To make them stop... gain a little peace for my pack."
He stepped back. "You're going to fight them."
I pursed my lips as I wrapped my arms around myself. "Yes."
His eyes flashed red. "No."
I tilted my head. "Excuse me?"
He grabbed my arms. "This is dangerous, Violet. I can't let you d-"
I raised my eyebrows. "You... are not letting me do anything. We have a treaty, what you will do is sit back and watch."
"This is reckless."
I stepped out of his hold. "This is for my pack, don't like it? There's the door."
He stared at me a long while before turning on his heel. "I won't stand by and let you get hurt. Remember that."
I pursed my lips as the door closed. So... is he no longer my date? He really should change his shirt if that's the case.
Amethyst chuckled. Maybe we should tell them.
I smirked and linked to Ezekiel's mind. Just to be clear... am I still your date or...
This isn't funny, Violet.
