Chapter 57

Zoey ran ahead of us.  "This is where Vivi gets all her pretty dresses..."  She rushed in.  "Ms. Gale!"

An older woman came out smiling.  "Little Zoey... how are you today?"

She beamed.  "This is ZeeZee and Will!"

She looked us both over and I felt like she read my soul.  "Nice to finally meet you, Violet says we need to get better about colors so you don't figure it out."

I gaped.  "You know about me?"

She chuckled and headed toward the back.  "You are both handsome young men, may I interest you in some clothing?"

I tilted my head, she didn't answer my question.  "Uh... sure, how about something for this dinner?"

She gestured in the air lazily.  "The Alpha and Beta have already seen to such things.  Zoey, I have the dress you requested ready, if you'd like to try it on."

She smiled politely.  "No, ma'am, but thank you.  I have to show them around while, Vivi is busy."

She nodded and handed her a small package.  "Enjoy these later then."

She beamed.  "Thank you!"

That pretty much set the theme for the day, she would tell us what places were for, everyone we met seemed like they were well aware of my existence not bothering to confirm or deny it, they would give Zoey a small gift, then we were off to the next stop.

Zoey ran up to a hospital.  "This is where Mommy works."  Again, she ran in, I found it strange that she was just running around with two strangers in tow and no one questioned it.  I also noticed that kids of all ages were roaming around not a parent in sight, I'd have to ask about that.

She came to an office and rushed in.  "Mommy are you busy?"

I loomed in the doorway with William as she looked up.  "Only a little, I see they are finally here."

She nodded and went to go mess with some crayons.  "Yes, and we have one more stop before I take them where I really want to go."

Their mom smiled at us.  "I hope you are enjoying."

I nodded.  "It feels... safe here."

She looked out of the window.  "Yes... they made sure to see to that for all of us."

I frowned.  "How?"

She giggled.  "You'll have to ask the council, but overall, we all love each other, we love our pack, we love our Alpha."

I smiled softly.  "That's good."

Zoey sprang up.  "Okay!  Last stop!"

I furrowed my brow.  "We just got here, your mo-"

She smiled.  "We're just meeting today, you'll be able to talk everybody later."  She grabbed my hand.  "Let's go."

I looked at her mom in shock and she just giggled.  "Somethings you don't question.  Have fun."

She let go and started skipping to the other side of the town to a large building that seemed to be made of windows.  "This is the entertainment center.  Vivi comes here when she finishes in the packhouse."

I couldn't help, but gawk at it.  "This is impressive..."

She giggled.  "Wait until we are inside."  She was right it was amazing inside, she quickly went over the rooms we passed until we came to a very large space, speakers set up along the walls, instruments in the center where the people were.  "Cool right?"
